Anyone else's LO taken their nappy off when in bed? Imogen woke on Sunday am wet through (but warm, uuummmm!) and her nappy was undone. I suspected she'd undone it, but didn't say anything.
Last night I checked on her before I went to bed as usual and her nappy was undone. I whispered, more to myself than her, "Have you been undoing your nappy?" as I did it up. "Yes," came the whispered reply! Nearly peed myself trying not to laugh!!
Then at midnight she was screaming and made herself sick crying and coughing. Cue complete change of her and bedding done in half-light of night-light. I was a bit worried cos all of her PJ are packed up ready for her moving to my mum's as the builders get serios with the sledgehammers, and we only had one spare pair. Luckily she pretty much went straight off and slept til I woke her at 7.30am (massive lie-in for both of us).
Tonight I've put her in a button-up vest so (hopefully) she can't undone her nappy again. Wouldn't put anything past her though, little b*gger!MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -
Lu, Christopher is going through the nudest stage at the mo so his nappy is regularly taken off! why he could have this stage when its summer I don't know.
I put him in his cot with a bob the builder dvd on while I shower and 9/10 times he'll be naked from waist down if not completely naked when I get out
My big proba t the mo is that he has started spitting  usually when he's in his cot as above, he leans over the side and just spits on the floor! I don't really know why best to deal with it as when I tell him off he doesn't seem to understand what he's done (unlike when he throws something etc) I'm not sure if its coz by the time I find it he's forgotten what he didI can't stand spitting either!!

My boys both went through phases of taking their nappy off. Charlotte is taking her top off at the moment, but she can only get her arms out, so she ends up with it hanging round her neck.
She doesn't really throw food, but the dog sneaks under the dining table, and she sneakily feeds him stuff when I'm not looking. She's also got a habit of putting stuff on her head. On Sunday she squashed a slice of pizza on her head which made a lovely mess. Meant I had to wash her hair which she hates.
She's reached tantrum stage now, and had a bad one because I said it was bedtime last night and she wanted to play with James. I picked her up and she was fighting me, then pulled my hair! She got told off for that.
Took her to Newcastle yesterday to see all the Christmas decorations and Fenwicks windows. She really enjoyed herself :cool:Here I go again on my own....0 -
DD was a complete nudist when she was younger. We used to find her naked in the cot every morning.
I took her to see Fenwick's window a couple of weeks ago. She loved it, but then she really likes Oliver. I was a bit disappointed in the lack of elves and Santa though.0 -
we're sick again. little Oz has bronchiolitus (or something like that) apparently its a bit like croup, and he had to get an inhaler and antibiotics, and on tuesday i had to bring him to the emergency doctor because his breathing rate was really high so they put him on a nebuliser. And I'm sick with a bad chest infection and have a temp of 38.7C so thats quite high isn't it? no wonder i feel like i've been run over by a bus. I don't feel well enough to get myself to the docs so my mum is going over today to see if they can give me anything.
thats twice in two months we've been sick - i thought breast fed babies rarely got sick!! although doc said that Oz is getting antibodies to fight this through me so thats good. and also am glad still BF cos he hasnt eaten since last friday. wee pet.DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY

Nadnad - hope you're both feeling better.
We had an 'exciting' day yesterday - a trip to A&E by ambulance cos Imogen tripped and went head-first into the doorframe. She wasn't knocked out and dd actually settle down quite quickly, but the paramedic said she'd prefer a doc just looked her over.
You wouldn't believe how bad it looked yesterday, with a big blue dent in the shape of the door frame edge and immediately blue/black all around it. This morning she has what looks like a little scratch and some very light bruising that you wouldn't notice if you didn't know she'd been in the wars. OH calls her Ram Man cos she just seems to have bounced!
Currently fighting a battle to get her to sleep - she is in some pretty bad habitats at the moment but it's understandable as we've got the builders in. She moves to my mum's for a week tomorrow and then both of us are going to MIL's the week after. We should be in for Xmas though, which will make i all worth it.
Better go and try to subdue her, again. Getting a bit bored of going up and down the stairs - and I feel sick today so she is NOT helping!MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -
nadnad hope your feeling better today!
had you been taking some paracetamol to lower your temp?
Lu, you've got yourself a right little bruiser thereMy Chris has only had one bad accident and it was a the childminders, which I'm secretly glad about coz I hate it when he's hurt, he fell forwards out of a chair in the garden and landed face first on concrete - had a black eye and a big scab on his forehead which took about 3 weeks to go

yep im dosed on paracetamol and vitamin c and hot tea and oranges. and now i've an antibiotic too.
wee man still getting his inhaler and antibiotics, and seems a bit better.
can i ask anyone if they used vitamin drops for their LO's cos i've been told when bf past 6 months i need to give him iron and vit d (i think), and if so which ones did you use?DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY

I didn't give vitamins because I don't think artificial vitamins are as good for you as naturally occuring ones and I don't believe that breastmilk suddenly becomes deficient in necessary vitamins when they get to a certain age.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

nadnad I didn't bother with them, it's a slight myth, the whole vitamin thing. Like Susan says - there is no timer in your boobs that goes 'brrr! best stop producing vitamin-rich milk now!' Yes there are more in formula but what they don't tell you is that most of it just passes through without being absorbed. As long as your little Oz eats some iron-rich food and a varied diet I would not be worrying!0
