hehe emlou!! i find they ice poles good for teething!
i think she was amazed that she could taste something else! was thinking of doing the baby led weaning with her from 6 months but im not sure she will last that long lol! she will be on McDonalds and KFC next week to keep up my scummy mummy name pmsl:DWhat's for you won't go past you0 -
i'm going to start seth on the odd bit of banana and pureed apple at 4 months, not neccessarily as a meal replacement more of a snack, i think its going to be hard to get him to take it when he's hungry otherwise cos when he's hungry the whole of the town knows about it and nothing will distract the crying til that milk is in his mouth! its going to take him a while to associate anything other than milk with food i think. good god, i've just realised thats only 2 months off  we were planning to move before we did that cos our flat is so small we have no room for table and chairs!!Mummy to

Em - I totally agree! Night feeds = time when mummy should be asleep! I would sit there holding baby n bottle thinking x months ago I would still be dreaming right now!
MFD - are you gonna share the pics when they are public? (and u are gorgeous, both of u!)
I'm thinking of BLW for this one esp if I BFeed I think it will just be easier, I hated all the faff of purees with Chris0 -
oh and Em - you should have a peek in ikea for small tables as its just the 3 of u, there are some real diddy ones and folding ones. I grew up with a folding table coz we didn't have the space for a 'proper' one0

Sami - of course I will share! The snaps that the photographer showed me were fab!
I was interested in BLW too...perhaps we should start a separate 'what I found in baby's poo' thread.
My only problem is that I will be going back to work for a couple of days when Benjamin is 6 months (or not long after) so it will depend on how amenable his childminder is.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
ikea will definitely be my friend when we move, one just opened up in southampton which is down the road from me, when it opened i went for a waddle round the week before i gave birth and had to "test" all the beds and chairs cos it hurt walking round :rotfl: but i bought a 3.99 coffee table and got very excited about all the things i wanted to kit out a new place with! i love all their space maximising wardrobes and things! i'm so sad...Mummy to

i like the idea of BLW but i keep forgetting that because OH has already raised a baby he knows much better than i do and that means that he knows everything already and my suggestions are pointless, and BLW would be a disaster and seth would just choke and make a mess cos theres no way whatsoever a gummy baby would be able to eat
it doesnt matter that its been going on for years etc, thats just what would definitely happen :rolleyes:Mummy to

Congrats MFD and Benjamin:)
Kai has also gone off his food, keeps waking at 4/5am, thankfully goes back off ok if I pop his dummy in, and is biting his dummy chomping and chewing his fists allll the time and clawing at his face!!! He has become quite grumpy at times too!! I was wondering if he is teething, but thought it a bit early for that? Ds1 didn't get first teeth until about 9/10mths and ds2 was about 6mths.
