    morning all

we have had a fun weekend trying some changes to the evening bedtime routine - but for the past two nights she has actually settled about 9pm and gone straight through to 6am. I'm impressed with her efforts :D It's taking lots of effort to get her to go down that early, but we are getting there. DH is out this evening so it's just me - but she's usually less of a monkey in teh evenings when it's just me, so we'll see how we get on. it was bliss to watch a film together on saturday and sunday nights just me and DH - even if he did fall asleep within 10 mins last night!!!!!

Sami - congratulations on the potty training. How is today going?

Swim nappies - we have the same problem, I can't find ones small enough so she isn't wearing any (but she's not swimming in a public pool so that's ok - they do need protection otherwise)

I bought Aimee an aqua nappy swim nappy... I think I bought her the 3-6 month size and it fitted her until she was a lot older than 6 months so I definitely got my moneys worth... I think I still have it somewhere too... Although I don't suppose this baby will be too impressed if it's a boy...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Mel - that pram/buggy looks good I haven't knowingly seen one so my only comment is that the hood looks a little short at the back so it might not protect from windy days? (probably not a big problem tho! :p)

Swim napies - I think little ones can have a pair of waterproof pants can't they? the ones that just catch it as apposed to soaking it up IYSWIM
ah ha here is one suitable from 6lbs http://www.babycentre.co.uk/baby/buyingforbaby/nappies/swimontest/
Kushies Swimmers from Perfectly Happy People
    Price: £7.99
    Sizes: Small 3-6kg (6-13lbs); medium 6-11kg (13-24lbs); large 11-18kg (24-39lbs); extra large 16-24kg (39-53lbs)
Colours: Blue, blue boats, green, pink mermaid, red, turquoise fish print
Features: Kushies swimmers are made from quick-drying, light fabric. They also have adjustable leg openings, high back waistband, Velcro tabs and an extra tie bow to ensure a secure fit. This nappy has mesh inner lining.

Sue says, "The style of this nappy is my favourite as it is different from all the others I have been testing. The adjustable leg openings are a great idea, although I am always a little worried they will come undone. I have found the sizing overall to be the least generous of all, although the swim nappy does fit more comfortably around William's legs and doesn't seem to dig in."
    Sue's rating: 8/10
Rebecca says, "This swim nappy is a nice bright colour and the Velcro and tie fastening also means they fit nicely. It's a very lightweight nappy so it is good to wear in hot weather. It's easy to put on and take off and leaves no marks on Reece's skin when I take it off. It's a good fit with adjustable fastening so it's suitable for most sized babies. It holds the poo but doesn't absorb the wee as it's too thin and has no absorbent layer. It's a good price, though, so I would buy it."
    Rebecca's rating: 9/10
    Stockists: 0870 120 2018 www.thebabycatalogue.com
r.mac - Potty use is still just the 1 wee per day :p
Now I know it wasn't a one off I think I'll start asking him or popping him on it when I go and see what happens :)

  • Aw em - we have had 2 fractious nights too. On Saturday Benjamin just kept waking up and grinning at us all evening...although he went to sleep at half 10 and didn't wake til 7am. Yesterday he went down really well at 7.30pm, woke at about 8.45pm then wouldn't settle. Screaming caused an argument with hubby when I finally did get Benjamin off at about 11pm - which meant we weren't in bed til after 12

They will settle down - either that or I will sell him on ebay ;):D

We have just come back from the docs where Benjamin had his injections - he sqealed, poor love. He is asleep at the moment...hope he stays that way :o

I have Emma jane nursing bras and found them to be v good. I needed the smaller size though:rolleyes:
Emlou, what did the doc say regarding the fact you think Seth may have reflux? My HV was of the opinion that loads of babies have reflux but it is of varying degrees. She thinks that is what colic is but with the majority it clears up bu the age of 4 months.
How often does he bring his feed up, does he bring up a whole feed? I first suspected reflux when I could smell acid in my LO's spit up/breath.
  • Redmel - I have the chicco 4 me and I love it, I bought it when ruby was 8 weeks old as my big pram didnt fit in the car. I use it all the time and took it to Tenerife last month. Its not as light as some trolleys but still easy to put in car.:p

Choc, we listened to CBeebies radio via the internet. Not sure if you can get it on digital radio, but we don't have one. I just had to make sure she wasn't looking at the PC so she got the whole, "listening not looking" thing. We had a snuggle on the sofa, which was lovely.
