I've got these for bed and they keep them contained (although they're not mahoosive like some on here!
Only problem I have is the pad is stuck to the bra, and moving about in bed moves my boobs to where the pad isn't, so I wake up in a milky puddle!:beer:0 -
I bought those too 3alreadyhere and there isn't even a top one in those!!
I am fed up of washing milky bras and bedding lol...as for breast pads...what's the point of sticking em in your bra when your boobs move around??? I keep being tempted to turn them around and stick them onto my boob insteadplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
On the subject? Have you found a favorite breast pad?
I liked the tommy tipee ones - but not MSE. The Asda Little Angels ones seem to be the best of the rest for me. I had a huge box of Mothercare ones that I thought were carp, and someone gave me a box of Pennywise? - even more carp!!:beer:0 -
TT for me too - I bought another box today for nighttimes only - I have to change any others in the middle of the night.
I have a box of lansinoh (sp?) ones that a friend gave me which I don't rate. The Boots ones aren't bad and are my daytime pad of choice ATM. I didn't rate the johnsons ones...I got a free sample with my bounty stuff and they have holes in for your nipples to go in :rotfl:
I have some Lilypads for when I am out without Benjamin (which is hardly ever) but they do make me feel a bit more 'normal'. Haven't tried them at night though
Not my boob BTW http://www.naturalmum.com/images/catalog/Lilypadz.jpgplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
i love the johnsons, avent and TT but they are more expensive, i also have the superdrug own make as they were cheap due to box rebranding!
glad im not the only one that wakes up in the night soaking lol! i have started to put pads on the bed(like pampers change mats?) to stop me changing the bed so often:D
i have had my hair cut and coloured and it looks fab:DWhat's for you won't go past you0 -
I used to double up with breast pads-even then i managed to leak through them!! i used the asda's ones as well.

the only breast pads i liked were the boots self adhesive ones (not the cheap ones) - they're a good size and they always stuck well during the day. Though i agree that at night time big milky boobies spill out all over the place and i dont think any pads would contain them (not mine anyway!). dont worry girls the leaking stops (eventually!).
i cant remember who was it a while ago went out for a night and baby didnt take their hard earned expressed milk which meant it had to be thrown out. i was thinking about what i used to do (i know this is going back a bit in the thread but this is how my brain works!). I would express every day and keep it in the fridge for 7 days (thats the recommended time) - if i went out i left a little bit at room temperature - say 2oz just enough to tide baby over for a while til more was warmed - but not so much that you would mind wasting if baby didnt take any.
(in my case it didnt matter - Oz NEVER took from a bottle or cup but instead waited for the dairy to come home to him with the fresh stuff)
anyway that probably doesnt help anyone now but just thought i'd share!DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY

It was me nad - thanks. I currently have 2 1/2 oz in the fridge (I thought it could only be stored in the fridge for 24 hours?) which I expressed this afternoon. I might be going to work for a morning in a few weeks so I need to save up enough to last Benjamin about 6 hours!
I am finding that the tommee tippee handpump is as good for me as the bl00dy expensive medela swing...although it is a bit more tiring!
I am thinking of doing the race for life in June...anyone fancy joining me? I reckon it would be a good way to motivate me to shift the rest of the baby weight and get of my a$$ and do something useful.
Edit: caz - I sleep on a muslin to catch the dribbles and bits of dribble/sick etc that Benjamin brings with him when he comes into bed to feed!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Breastfeeding Network information on expressing and storing here...
Breastmilk has amazing properties that actually stop bacteria growing so it can be kept a lot longer in the fridge...

MFD - no you can store freshly pumped milk for 7 days - in fact some info says 8 days - in the fridge, - i went by my nose just like regular milk you know when its off! Mine was always fine for 7 days no problem - it does separate but if you gently swirl it round (dont shake) then it settles.

that link takes you to kellymom storage info.
hope that helps!DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY
