Sami (and anyone else who'd fine it helpful!), I used these instructions to learn to bf lying down. It was brilliant to rest but my dodgy back let me down :-(Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0

Those are great Fritha, there's a little bit that concerns me... If anyone plans to use those instructions just be really careful with "I hold the head near the ears" holding the back of a baby's head while trying to get them to latch on can trigger a reflex that has them actually pushing backwards against your hand which can be upsetting to them and cause them to associate it with feeding...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... ooh - loads of chatter!
Hope all goes ok tomorrow Agutka. Will be thinking of you.
I've been a slummy mummy this evening. After 9 weeks of sitting on deckchairs, my new sofas finally arrived this evening. Apart from a quick break for a shower, I've just been laying on it since 8pmHere I go again on my own....0 -
Well I'm off to bed to try out my new, well I'm already in bed but I'm going to put my head down on my nice new memory foam pillows, had ones before and hated it so trying a new style!!

Ooh scruffy, I love my memory foan pillow... Wasn't too keen to start with because it was so heavy... But had to persevere because of the price lol... Glad I did though, it's so comfyA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Anywho... Can we all return to our respective corners and stop speculating about if others are discussing the Bf debate on facebook (fyi I've had a quick look and there is no "slagging off" going on there... in case anyone wondered).
Otherwise I have to start closing threads and getting Abuse involved etc... (which I will state right now that if I see the nazi accusations flying again I WILL report the posters to Abuse!)
really not interested in this dragging on any further but i shall say this one last time, I did not call anyone or compare anyone on here to a nazi,
you can misread what i said as many times as you like.
and re the facebook thing, well those Pms i got must all be lies then
ok? done.
now...memory pillows! - ive always liked the look of them as my pillows seem to be filled with small rocks and pointy shrapnel, do you recommend?
i dont sleep very well at all... so anything comfy is always worth a try0 -
I don't know if anyone else has filled out the change for life leaflet thingy, but we got our pack through yesterday. I think for bigger kids you get some kind of personalised plan, as we had a letter saying "can't do that for such a little one, but here is a leaflet and an example of some of the things we do for bigger kids'. We have stickers and a card game. and lots of ideas for when Izzy is bigger
might be worth doing if you'veot already done so? http://www.nhs.uk/Change4Life/Pages/default.aspx?gclid=CKjwybOkgZoCFQqF3godjVQoGA

[smug alert] We do pretty much what's on that website anyway [/smug alert]
It's a good site though and there are lots of useful tips and information on it. I've still had a read to see where we can improve. Here I go again on my own....0 -

Thanks Krystal I hadn't noticed that, Celia was a little older when I tried it so I just moved her via her bum!
