Thank you so much guys, you've been so reassuring. I'm sorry I've not really introduced myself or replied to anything that is going on with you, I'll make up for it by being a very attentive member when I can!

Midwife things jaudice is a bit worse, so baby is in his nappy by the window. Her & Mum had a bit of a row, very differing ideas about feeding. Compromised and I expressed breastmilk. Midwife concerned that I don't have enough milk, but managed to hand pump 70ml in 10 minutes, which seems fine? Got some of that into him in a cup, so hopefully can perserve with breastfeeding.

Got two hours sleep last night, most I've had and feel a bit better for it.

    Thank you so much.

charlie loves his sister he tries to pick her up and whe she cries he is the first one to go and cuddle her, he does get annoyed if im feeding her and he wants up? he likes to bounce her in her seat which can be a bit scarey as you expect her to fly across the room lol! this pic was taken yest of the two of them as he likes to get a cuddle!

Feeli - grrr it makes me so cross when i hear of people with unsupportive midwives. When i was in the hospital they were all telling me i should try baby on a bottle as he didnt seem satisifed - the more i heard this the more wound up i became - probably not helping matters. When i got home the midwife who visited me was fantastic - encouraged me and said not to worry about timings, or amounts, how often baby fed or for how long - she said feed as often and for as long as baby wants it and thats all you need to know. If you're feeling happy with breastfeeding then persevere, and i'm sure Krystal will be along at some point today to give you words of advice and encouragement and give you phone numbers of people who can help.

    .

We cup fed for weeks, every 3 hours.... I eventually moved onto a medela supplementer, but they also do this which seems better and easier than a cup:

sami i bet they wil be like that we just have to watch more closely as charlie is huge and rough!

JS that thing looks great! OH thinks erin screams as she is still hungry but am unsure, was thinking bout topping up but when we have tried giving her bottle she gets very frustarated and the tends to bite me when next fed?? this might be the solution!

Feelie, well done on persevering, I'm sure with your Mum there you're feeling very well supported. If you're expressing plenty of milk then you definitely have enough for Toby. Just make sure you keep putting him to the breast as often as you can. If he's in the window with his nappy off then why not sit there yourself with him, whip your top off and have a bit of skin to skin with him... It's great for encouraging them to feed (although you might want to try a window that's not overlooked ;))

Always feel free to pm me if you need to :)

Caz, you don't need to top up hun, and you don't need to fork out on fancy equipment. If she is still hungry then she'll still feed off you if you were to put her back on... are you swapping sides or just feeding from one side per feed?

krystal she is feeding from both sides and just constantly feeding or screaming. was thinking she could be about to take growth spurt and that could be whats up but am unsure? i wait until she pulls away moaning before swapping sides though, she falls asleep which makes me think that she is getting enough?

sorry just typing what comes into my head before thinking lol!
