Health Check was bit worrying, got to have an ultrasound on him next week, check where his testicles are :( He has jaundice too, and feeding is going very badly.
aw, poor you, poor baby, but do try not to worry, I don't think it is uncommon to 'lose' their testicles when they are so young. And jaundice is also very common, and the feeding WILL get better! Light will help.

Conjunctivitis - don't leave it too long before seeing GP, but there's a traditional remedy you can try while you wait for an appointment if you're breastfeeding, and that's breast milk!

I do stress not to ignore it though: DH has been on antibiotics for 2 months, and now needs to go to eye hospital because his gummy eyes STILL haven't cleared up - and I'm convinced it's because he left it ages before going in the first place! I don't know if it's conjunctivitis or something else of course, none of the rest of us have it or I really would be furious with him!

Evening all, my LO seems to have some conjunctivitus at the moment, que constant eye wiping with warm water and cotton pads... did ever of you take your Lo's to the drs with this or just let it work its way out?

Had a nice day repotting my veggies for the garden, buying new shoes for Henry and a quick trip to Mr.Ts as OH did shopping yesterday for me ... even managed a sneaky trip to the pub (with OH and LO) hooray !!

I took Poppy a few weeks back and the Dr prescribed eye drops. Easier said than done and it took both me and DH plus a battle of wills to dose her! But her eye was much better after just 2 days.

    xx
  • Thanks for the reassurances guys. I'm just a bit worried about the strength of the 'black feelings', probably overly cautious about PND.

Welcome to the parenting club, feelie. How have you both been today? Did you speak to your Mum?

Lots of hugs as I remember the first few weeks with Poppy only too well. Take care of yourself.

Don't worry about his hiding balls, its one of the most common 'problems' for boys and usually sorts itself out by the time they are 1yr, I know 2 lads that had the surgery coz theirs didn't pop out and its a really simple little op, caused them no probs since :D
I'm not sure I'm much use with the other bits of your post but make sure you keep talking about things with ur mum/OH/us don't bottle up anything or keep it hidden (I did and regret it :o). Big hugs to you honey xx

    Hugs to all :hello:

In his year and a half I have only left Joseph with my brother twice. Once was last month and got baby back with bruise on head 'I think he fell, but I didn't really see what happened' said brother. The second time was 10 minutes this afternoon. He brings me screaming baby 'he fell over' with mahoosive bump on head. To think of all the months I babysat for him, and all the hours my parents put in every day looking after his son, and he can't even give me a tiny little break!!!! GRRRRRGGGHHHH.

I went through frozen peas, cold knife, raw potato and half a tube of arnica gel. Lots of mess and extra tears for not much effect. Can't wait for it to go black.

its not me honest lol:P we are in a village and for some reason i have no probs for months and then no access for weeks on end. its not fair lol! i am like a toddler stamping my feet when it doesnt work!!! but im back and thats all that matters:j

Erin is doing well getting big and likes to see evrything, had accident with phil and teds last week, the boot wasnt shut and it fell out onto motorway breaking the handle. had it fixed the next day but panic mode set in! how are jamie and poppy doing?

DH always mentions the money we would save if our internet went down:rotfl:. I don't buy that much online....honest! :o. Good to have you back with us!

Glad all is going well with Erin. How is Charlie with her? I have to stop Poppy from over zealous snuggling and keep an eye out for toys flying into his lap!. Its so cute the way she says 'Jayee' and his eyes follow her around the room none stop.

Poor Phil and Teds!. Glad you got it fixed. I would be lost without mine now.

Another vote for antibiotics with conjunctivitis. Olivia was sent home from school with it a few weeks back on a Friday. I picked her up from school and we managed to see a doctor immediately and started the eyedrops within minutes. By the Monday she was able to go back to school as there was no sign of it whatsoever and nobody else in the family caught it. Compared to when Izzy had it as a baby without drops and it went on for days and I caught it too.

Edit to say that putting the drops in her eyes (and she was 5 at the time) was a nightmare, so can only imagine the fun putting them in a babies eyes lol, although it has to be said that she should get an oscar sometimes she is such a drama queen!

    good morning ladies!

for conjuctivitis - i see everyone is saying different things ie doctor or no doctor. I took Oz to docs with it and they gave me a cream to put in - same stuff as the drops i think but much easier to use - worked within 2 days.

Feeli - I'm sure you've been advised already about the jaundice but the midwives in the hospital always put the jaundiced babies beside the windows all day to get as much natual sunlight as possible.

Its a BEAUTIFUL day today!! Am going to make most of it. though have 2 application forms to fill in first. Why do they make them so bloomin long?!!
