Feelie, day 6 (day 3 of being awake) was when it hit me with DS2. I was still in hospital and could not stop crying. Went for a bath thinking I'd cry it all out, didn't work. A nurse got a doctor to come round and discharge me for the night, I cried the whole time he was there, he was a bit shocked. I cried the whole night at home and woke up the next day fine.

With DS1 it wasn't as bad, just weepy on and off for a day or so, but again about day 3.

You will feel better in a day or so hun, it's just hormones. Think of how you were the first few months in pregnancy then condense it all into a day, thats the baby blues.

Got DS2's speech therapy report through today, very depressing. I hate getting reports of what he can't do.

tiamai just think of all the things he can do, bet he is a fab little boy and has a great mum to help him!

Erin had her first jags on thurs and they luckily didnt seem to effect her:D they have given me bath oil and cream to cover her in twice a day as she has very dry skin, it must be a health hazard as she slips through my fingers and its like something out a cartoon!

Caz, I know, I do think of all the things he can do, it's just hard when you see it on black and white what he can't do. But, it's his birthday tomorrow, he has asked for a camera and a spiderman cake, so he's going to be going click happy tomorrow :D

Glad she is well with the jags, shame about the skin. Does the oil and cream work?

  • Feelie - the tears are normal. Day 4 was worst for me. We had an awful night on our 2nd night at home - I was literally crouching by the sofa in agony as I held Benjamin on a pillow not daring to let go unless he woke :o

It does get easier - but having said that I was in tears again last night because the little b00ger thought it was more fun to play than to sleep

Give Toby a kiss from us all.

I really want to harm a little brat in the same class as DS1. Not only does he think it's fine to pick on DS1, but now he's started on DS2. No point speaking to the mother, I've already told her what I think of her parenting skills. This boy is just plain scum. Feel guilty for it, but you know he is the type to end up in jail for either breaking and entering or GBH. Him and his elder sister, she's the type that tells him who to hit.

And calm breaths. My children will do wonderful things while they will be even further down the evolutionary scale than chavs.

Think I'll got to asda, it will be less stressful :rotfl:
  • This baby is being very grumpy today - very tired, but wouldn't sleep unless I was holding her, so I've been stuck on the sofa. I had to put her down to go to the loo, and you would have thought I had done something terrible to her, the amount of noise she was making! I was pacing the floor for ages trying to calm her down.

I'm pretty sure this is teething, but MIL thinks she is just hungry... pretty sure I don't agree, seeing as she doesn't seem to be hungry, but is dribbing lots and chewing on her hands ( and anything else she can get into her mouth!). Oh, and not sleeping very well either - woke every 2 hours last night :(

Poor little girl. Will discuss with HV on thursday I think.

Thanks for the reassurances guys. I'm just a bit worried about the strength of the 'black feelings', probably overly cautious about PND.

Health Check was bit worrying, got to have an ultrasound on him next week, check where his testicles are :( He has jaundice too, and feeding is going very badly.

Poor you and poor wee guy!

The blackness will ease off on it's own hun, it's normal. Not nice, but then neither are piles.

It's nice weather out there, so get him in his pram and out for a walk in the sun to help the jaundice. Will do the both of you some good.
