CG - Someone told me recently that once parents are out numbered by kids it all goes wrong :rotfl:
I still would love to have loads tho - Madness!

Bailey - I hope this turns out to be just a 'scare' I take it you have already missed a period because other wise surely its very unlikely you'd have any symptoms at only a day or so preg, maybe the pains you are getting are from the MA pill, did the pharmacist/GP say it could cause pains and or D&V?

I also have to agree with CG that you really need to sort out better precautions I know a few men that have had the snip and it is a really small op with few complications and quick recovery (plus I think they quite enjoyed the month of ensuring every thing was flushed out afterwards! LOL)
I used the mirena (sp?) IUS after Chris and can't recommend it enough it has hormones in it but I think its safe for use with anti-D's as the dosage is very low and doesn't usually get into the blood stream.

  • SB!!! Was baby really early, or is she really that barmy ;) I have decided when we move next time we are paying for a removals van and help packing. The first time we moved we were moving from my parents into our own place, so not toooo much to move (about 6 car loads or so) as most of the big stuff was being delivered. Last time we had about a month to move everything, so we moved a lot of stuff gradually ourselves, and got parents to help over the last but 1 weekend (so we had time to clean old place after!) and that was still a struggle - never again!

  • Silly browser posted before I had finished.

Bailey, I hope it is a false alarm for you... tbh when i was pregnant I thought my period was starting, as the pains felt like period pains (I thought that meant I was safe to crack open a bottle of wine, but no harm done ;) )

And Ella, that does sound scary, but she is in the best hads to look after her.

So yes, both of you DON'T PANIC.

This baby has learnt to pretend to cry so that Mummy comes running. Then as soon as I pick her up I get a cheeky grin. It's getting old fast ;) I'm trying to ignore it, but I've not quite worked out the difference between the real thing and the pretend crying yet ... hopefuly I will get the hang of it soon. She's a very good actress:rotfl:.

Ella- how worrying, hope your cousin will be ok.

Bailey, its horrible waiting isn't it, I hated the 2 week wait whilst trying to conceive. I used to convince myself every month that the cramps I used to get were due to being pg. I would think, if you are on the pill and took morning after pill (even though you had d&v) it would be unlikely for you to get pg. Unless you've been very lucky/unlucky, whichever way you look at it!! Hope you get the result you want anyway.

Thanks for your advice on losec. We ended up taking LO down to paediatrician as felt GP wasn't doing anything. He had ulcers inside his mouth due to acid reflux and would hardly feed. He was waking every 40 mins in the night as he was in pain and probably hungry but too painful for him to feed. Poor little boy. They put him on losec and he is much improved but not perfect. He's not had medication in liquid form yet so we're crushing the tablet for him. We still have to use gaviscon also so i suspect will have to increase the dose before long.

Hope everyone else is ok. I've only quickly skimmed through last few pages as I'm sooo tired!!
    xx

Bailey - really sorry to hear of the situation you are in at the moment. The one time I took the MA pill it gave me bad D&V but I didn't get pregnant. I have heard that it can cause that.
Go and speak to yor GP or practice nurse, even if they can't suggest for you to do anything for a few days, getting it all out to someone will definately help (problem shared, problem halved).

my OH is nothing but a big kid, ive been outnumbered for a long time! :D

about the Mirena, thats what i used between having Rebecca and Daniel but as i was on citalopram by the time i went in for a new coil after Danny i wasnt allowed the Mirena, my doc said it doesnt have much in the way of hormones in it but the last thing i need is more when im already feeling all floopy and there is really no need to do it to yourself,
the only problem ive found with this hormoneless coil is i still have periods, only sporadically... and i not only HATE periods, but really hate not knowing when they are coming....
I want my mirena back now so they will stop again (i didnt have a single one for about 6 years! yay!)

ella - i hope everything is ok, and i would like to think its not as bad as it sounds if the family are only there during visiting hours
  • Thanks guys for your thoughts, its appreciated and no, no offence taken!

TBH right now i don't know what i want, so i'm just going to sit tight and see what happens, its too early to test. I feel a bit calmer about it today, but i also hate that two week wait as well.

DH has mentioned looking into having the snip but that's as far as he's got, i'm not going to do the research for him as its down to him, his choice his responsibility. I do enough else around the place, if he's that bothered then he'll do it. Maybe the news of a poss no.3 might be enough to make him get his bum in gear. I'll wait until i know either way, no point unsetting us both for that time.

My HV only mentinoed the mirena coil to me last week, i'll definitely look into that as an option. Thanks.
