Charlotte has discovered how to take her clothes off. When I go to get her out of the cot, often she just has a nappy on, and sometimes she just randomly removes items of clothing while she is playing.
She's got cold again and woke twice in the night crying which isn't like her. She isn't keeping the blankets on and her feet were freezing. I've just been using a sheet and blanket in the summer months, so I've ordered a new sleeping bag for her today. Here I go again on my own....0 -

Hi betterlife welcome to the thread.
Hi to all the newcomers and regulars too...not been here for a while as myself and LO have had a very nasty cold and I've felt too rough to be able to concentrate enough to form coherent sentances.....
Anyway just wanted to pick someones brains if I can....I'm thinking of buying one of these stair gates to fit to an awkward gap.

anyone here got one and does it to what it says on the tin???
also if anyone knows where I can get one cheaper than this I'd be grateful.MSE PARENT CLUB MEMBER.ds1 nov 1997ds2 nov 2007:jFirst DDFirst DD born in june:beer:.0 -
Thanks, Scruffy, Agutka, Baybee, Fritha & Lu T!
Hi and welcome Betterlife :hello:
Poppy's party went brilliantly and its all caught on film to torment her with when she's 18!. She appeared to have a lovely time, even without her afternoon nap, and is fascintated with older children
.
Now hands up who remembers the overdue club last year. Almost everyone due around this time had to wait and wait and wait.... Oh, those were the days eh?
I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about neither do I recollect being the founding member of the Overdue Club! :rotfl:
We had a 3w newborn at the party today and I really am struggling to remember Poppy being that teeny tiny!.
(but I'm going to find out in 10w time.........or most probably 12 :rotfl:).

We have three of them, and I think they're great. There's a knack to opening them. but I can do it now with DS on my hip. I bought ours from kiddicare, but they don't seem to have them on the site now?The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0 -

Thanks JS-O-H
It's nice to know they seem good as it's a fair amount of cash to spend on a stairgate.
I've already had to take one sort back as it was rubbish. (one of those travel gates).MSE PARENT CLUB MEMBER.ds1 nov 1997ds2 nov 2007:jFirst DDFirst DD born in june:beer:.0 -
By the time the ambulance arrived she was waving at them and putting her arms up to get a cuddle from the technician! Apparently lots of kids think they're Teletubbies cos of the green overalls :rotfl:
:rotfl::rotfl:Oh that's brilliant!
tsstss7 - I need one of these gates for my kitchen arch. But can't afford one, so tried to get Mother to get one for us. Unfortunately I was showing her one on display in John Lewis, which was filthy and she thought it was a disgusting thing to buy! So we are making do with a travel gate (£3 at carboot), which is just about small enough to fit. We just clamber over it when baby's out and about.
SB - Joseph was never that tiny. Why else would I have needed a ceasarian? I hope you don't have a repeat performance of the wait.
Daphne - I can't imagine why anyone would want to go overdue:whistle:. But you know what? All that bother and effort and already it's all looking shabby  - I'll never buy cheap carpets again... or plastic baths... or allow someone to paint over dirty walls . *sigh*
On a different note - does anyone have/has seen one of those hat/hood scarf things from Jojo Maman Bebe? They look cute in the catalogue, but do they work - as in does hat stay on head and does scarf cover the back of neck well. And cotton or lambswool?

hi,guys, just wandering if anyone was in this situation i am in. i am on maternity leave, i couldnt get SMP as i dont earn enough, its took my boss nearly two months to get the form to give to MA, so i didnt cancel my carers allowance as was it was the only money i am getting. my question i, sorry fo going on, should i cancel CA and get MA or wuld i be able to get CA and income support untill i go back to work. going to speak to someone tomorrow as well. i lost out on a lot of money, not been paid since end of july and single parent.0

can you not backdate the claim for ma and pay back the ca? ma is not taxable income (and is not counted as income for tax credit purposes) so in many ways you are better off claiming it.MSE PARENT CLUB MEMBER.ds1 nov 1997ds2 nov 2007:jFirst DDFirst DD born in june:beer:.0
