Hugs to Bailey, I was feeling like that a week or so ago. Just soo fed up and tired. I'm feeling better about things now. Hope you'll be feeling better too soon. x0

Hope you are ok bailey. I get down at times when life seems like nothing but a constant drudge of bringing up three children, housework, uni and work.
I've not been well. I felt generally unwell over the weekend, and then started vomiting badly last night. I still feel dizzy and wobbly today, so my Mam had Charlotte this morning, then brought her back in time for her nap this afternoon. I've spent the day sleeping, reading a book in bed and just chilling. I feel a bit better, but I've been thinking I really must slow down and do more chilly out type things. Is there anyway you can have some time off and just stay in bed and read or whatever you find relaxing?

I'm sick too. Was fine this morning but started vomiting around 11. So much for my unexpected day off work...and I bet I have to make it up later in the week! Plus no-one is wanting to play with Tom as the snow is far more exciting so having to put up with him climbing all over me!
Can you tell I'm feeling sorry for myself.0 -
Thanks for all your replies re car seats. Kiddicare have extended their sale so hoping to get a Britax one.
Bay - hope you're feeling better today? Keep talking to us, although we can't help practically I hope we can help with mutual support and virtual hugs
I know I feel like that too sometimes. Has your OH started his new job yet? I know you said that would mean he'd be home more, so maybe this will help.
I also found it helped to do something for me (it was 2 hours one eve a week at Slimming World). What mattered most was being Lu and not Imogen's mum and to have sensible adult conversation about general crap, not about my daughter or work. Is there any way you could do something like that once the kids are in bed? Swimming, yoga, an evening class at your local college? Need not be expensive, but might just tip the balance. HTH?
OH worked from home today to look after Imogen and they made a fab snowman!MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -
i'm thinking of asking my MIL (yes the dragon i mentioned in a previous post!) if she would mind Oz maybe once a week for an hour or so, to let me go swimming or something, but i'm worried about her feeding him tea, lucozade and mars bars in my absence, how much damage could she do in an hour? and is it worth it for a little bit of "me" time?DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY

Difficult one. The answers are probably "not that much" and "yes, probably".
You have to pick your battles. I let loads of stuff go as it isn't really harmful, just not what I'd choose - like Imogen having milk and a biscuit as soon as she gets up.
The 'me' time would be lovely as long as you didn't worry for all of it. Could you ask her to come over while Oz naps so you're minimising the potential damage?MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -

My Mam has Charlotte while I work and gives her lunch. I've said umpteen times that I'd rather she has healthy food, but my Mam insists on giving her fish fingers or hot dogs with chocolate afterwards  I've stopped asking what she has eaten now, as I think if I don't know, I'll not stress over it.
She has healthy meals most of the time she is at home, so I guess the rubbish that my Mam feeds her is balanced out with all the good stuff she has here.
Here's some pics from today:

becles the photos are lovely, Charlotte is gorgeous! we didnt get any snow at all its just very very cold.
i dont think my MIL coming here is an option, for some reason both her and my own mum think i should always bring Oz to them, and on the (rare) occasion my mum has offered to have him she has said for me to leave him at her house. this makes things difficult because at both their houses theres nowhere to put him! they both have wooden/tiled floors and no rugs and hes at the stage where he's flinging himself on his face in an attempt to crawl and i dont want him knocking his teeth out!
i also dont think he'd sleep in their houses (though i guess i could try it!)
it would be so much easier if they would mind him here because he naps for 2 hours most mornings now (took him 7 months but he got there in the end hurrah!) and also my house is like his little palace with all his stuff and thats where he can content himself. maybe i worry too much about it.
don't think i mentioned these wonderful things OH got from B&Q - interlocking foam tiles about 50cm square - so we made a big area with 12 tiles for Oz to play on they're good cos hes fallen on his head and hasnt cried! so much better than me worrying about him on our tiles. (am thinking maybe could leave some at MIL's house if i left him there - ooh good idea!)DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY

Thanks everyone, we did have a good day playing in the snow today. DH first day at school was cancelled due to the snow, so it was like an extra weekend day. Outside our back gate is a playing field and my parents, neighbours, friends, brother, SIL and their 2 girls went out sledging, snowballing and snowman making.
I don't know if this will work but here are our pics of the snow today. Jack had his dummy in as he didn't get a sleep and it was getting on for 4pm, bless. He did actually crash on the sofa whilst I made tea. So both kids in bed by half six this eve.
Sorry had to cancel that link as it didn't work.0
