Daily Mirror / Play £5 free vouchers

I applied for a voucher on Wednesday too (my boyfriend had been buying the papers, wish i had have checked here first!!!!) but havent had a voucher. However, my friend from work applied and said i can have theirs. Does anybody know if they would allow me to use her voucher? Ive emailed play but had my email deleted without being read

you can use any voucher you want.. i used my boyfriends code on my acct.

im sorry but every time we order something on here and somepeople dont get it for whatever reason some one always mentions watchdog.. carry on like this and the papers and companys will be saying sod it cant be bothered with the hassle no more promotions or discounts...

A lot of the griping is about the fact that some people applied for their vouchers before others and they are upset that they haven't had theirs.

I ordered three vouchers one for my dad, one for my daughter (not living at home) and myself. They had vouchers, i didn't and i applied for theirs an hour after mine. So if it was dealt with on a first come, first served basis where is mine.

Not going to complain though as i've been lucky twice before.

OH has rang them and has essentially be told tough. Nothing showing on his account, and was told all the vouchers have gone out.

He is still waiting for them to respond to his emails though.

perhaps but also have you considered that if no-one ever complains then they will see it as an opportunity to con people on a regular basis. i dont post alot on these forums but considering it is a forum about saving money and avoiding cons then it is pretty likely that reporting a company to watchdog would spring up from time to time.

I usually get irritated by people on this website threatening to contact Watchdog and the like as it is usually a misprice or a loophole that is being exploited and they don't like it when the companies involved don't play ball.

In this case though I do think that there are grounds for complaint as Mirror Group and play.com have clearly breached the Terms & Conditions of the promotion, firstly by not issuing vouchers on a strictly first come first served basis, and secondly by issuing more than one voucher per person. The fact that somebody on another thread is boasting that they wrote a script that enabled them to get 1200 vouchers emailed to them is despicable.

Don't know who you would complain to though, as doubt Watchdog would be interested in hearing that people hadn't received a freebie - they just want to hear about people being ripped off. Possibly Trading Standards?

On the right when you get to payment screen it will have a box (In red I think) Saying something about using a voucher.
