I was thinking the same as seanparking when I saw his emails about insurance companies and breakdown covers, all cming from moneysupermarket.com.

I shall be taking this petrol card stuff more seriously when pipeline Ben starts requesting full address details from members.

If something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
An excellent way to save money off your fuel bills, amongst many others, is to use your Tesco vouchers.
Unfortunately they do have other uses too :o .

:oIf I fail to thank you individually, I am sorry. Your advice was appreciated but may not have been 100% the result I was after.
  • I don't really see what the problem is.

MoneySupermarket is a really good way of getting a lot of price information quickly. Martin recommends it extensively.

    I despise money supermarket.

I have used it many times to find insurances (of various sorts) for myself and family. Every time you enter the details, find the cheapest quote, click through to that site and low and behold the price doubles!!!

They get piles and piles of comission for not really helping you very much and you waste lots of time and effort. Ok, if it works properly it is helping you find the best deal, but in my experience it doesn't.

Plus, by usine money supermarket, moneysavers on here are missing out on the chance to earn the referral comission for themsevles through RPoints instead of earning it for MoneySupermarket!

the problem is, Ben promised us results, and has so far done nothing besides create himself huge moneymaking/marketing potential by earning himself a validated list of nearly 300,000 people who have requested marketing information.

Instead of using this list to negotiate for this mysterious non existant pipeline card, he's used it to shove affiliate links down us.

Even if only 1% of signups follow one of his affiliate links each then he's made a tidy profit.

I'm not sure how you think it is a con. Vote with your feet and opt out. Leave the rest of us to be either a) conned, or b) minted.
