This seems to me still all a bit "fluffy" and up-in-the-air at the moment.Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries0 -
Yes. There will be big start-up costs. Where will the promoter get the money to issue and distribute the cards?
I can't see why any petrol company would sign up to this. I can see "loyalty cards", valid for one company's pumps only, working as they are aimed at taking customers from competing companies. But a use-anywhere card? Where's the advantage to BP, Shell etc?0 -
Either way, it hasn't cost anyone to register on the site. If they manage to get something going, that will be excellent. If not, does it matter? At least they tried. Its been no skin off our noses. If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0

It's not a use anywhere card. Ben says it is linked to a specific retailer who will cover the admin costs on the back of increased business.
There is a scheme like this already running in Holland that uses consumer buying power but I get the impression that they have a lot more than 100,000 members.

I'm with you on this, it just doesn't seem professional.
It's like the emails saying that if everyone boycotts (was it) Esso, then Esso will have to reduce their prices and everyone else will follow suit.
It went on to say to hold out until the price went down to less than 60p a litre, (but ignored the consideration that by which time Esso would be making a loss...)Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
