I too have a problem with Royal Mail, in that a big bundle of post arrived at my door last week (with elastic band around it), comprising of letters and packages sent over the last month. I did notice I was missing some post but didnt think it was the fault of Royal Mail - until now! The bundle included a letter from my mortgage company, insurance company, bill and reminder bill from energy supplier, 2 new bank cards, PIN number, PIN from Experian, ebay package, etc etc.

Anyway, I'm glad I have it all now and can stop phoning up banks etc complaining that my cards havent arrived!! - but why were they kept back and so delayed?? - should I approach Royal Mail about this?

May be true for your card. But not mine. Pedant.

I have a standard, red card here with me for lightbulbs. Clearly says that you need to bring ID.
