lol - do your kids know you are trying to rehome them??!
No I cant find a piccy of a visladoodle either - may be worth giving em a ring to find out more?
There is also Brock at Selby, he is a border terrier x, apparently border terriers are hypoallergenic, so I suppose it depends (as with the poodle x's) whether he has inherited this or not. http://www.selby.gov.uk/service_main.asp?menuid=99&pageid=14&id=945
A little further away is Tiny a yorkie who's in Durham
Apparently www.theyorkierescue.co.uk have yorkies all over the place and are very helpful - some nice dogs on there, I have just had a peek!
There is also a poodle rescue (I believe for both standard and mini poodles) near grimsby, it is often worth tryng people a bit out of are as they often have dogs fostered all over the place waiting for new homes. They may also know about poodle x's who may be suitable
Poodles In Need - no website, tel. 01507 478 794
Anyway, hope that helps and that it isnt info overload!
best wishes,

Thank you for finding those sites for me.
After today i might not get back on here because i use this website at work and im finished until monday. Really appreciate your help with the dog situation. :A If i do get on here it might be under our home name of themmackas so dont worry if you see that name instead of minimacka.
Many thanks

No problems, I have a rescue dog myself and she is super, so I am always encouraging people to consider rescue. It sounds like you have a lovely life to offer to the right dog, and personally, I think its ethically better to rescue a dog than to line the pockets of a breeder, as many are not so scrupulous about how they treat their dogs.
Anyway, whatever you decide to do, best of luck!0 -
Just a word of warning - a Vizladoodle is going to be a medium to large dog. Here's the Wikipedia page on Vizlas - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vizsla They are an active gundog breed, so nothing to calm down the active Standard Poodle genes there
But I can imagine they would be very attractive dogs.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -
I met a weimerdoodle a couple of weeks ago - I would imagine a visladoodle wouls be similar - it was quite leggy and almost as tall as my mums lurcher-ish dog... do you know if all these 'doodle' types are standard poodle x's? do any use the toy poodles??
Milly looks small and chunky so I wondered??

Hi F.C. just to let you know that hopefully we will be making a home visit to see milly on Friday. I rang up and spoke to the lady and im going to ring back on Wednesday and arrange a home visit on Friday. Just me and my oh at first to see how i got with her. If all goes well then we will visit her as a family. thank you so much for all your advise and help and hopefully if milly suits us and we suit her then she might be the dog for us. Might stop my son from nagging constantly all weekend about getting a dog, he doesnt know anything about us looking. Ii told him that its either a dog or me to put him off the sceent and it was nearly the dog he chose, he even went online and searched for non alergic dogs he said that someone had told him you can get them.0
