    Hi rosie,

I've never tried smash but think it would be ok in potato bread. My recipe's here. There are more ideas in this thread that may help:

I tried using some as a topping for a shepherd's pie a while back and we all hated the artificial 'glueiness' of it.

Is there anything else I can do with it? I looked but couldn't find a thread anywhere. I know there has to be one!!!

Could I use it to make potato bread maybe? I'm happy to try anything really. It comes in sachets , one of which would make maybe 4 cereal bowls full. I have 3 sachets left to use up.

Rosie, i sometimes use it for thickening soups, stews and sauces, but be wary.. a little thickens alot!! :)

Nope - I use a small square non-stick cake tin for roasting chicken breasts, Cumberland sausage, vegetables etc. They don't know they're not in a proper roasting tin ;)
I do tend to keep a distinction between cake tins and roasting tins, because it's a lot easier to wash up a cake tin, whereas a roasting tin often gets a bit blackened round the edges!

So MrBE might want to buy a new cake tin, unless he gets in the habit of lining the tin with either bakewell paper or foil, depending on what he's cooking!
