I've never tried smash but think it would be ok in potato bread. My recipe's here. There are more ideas in this thread that may help:

I have a box of fake mash in the cupboard ( part of a Lucky Box from AP).
Is there anything else I can do with it? I looked but couldn't find a thread anywhere. I know there has to be one!!!
I would be happy to bake with it, but not to use it in its intended form IYKWIM!
This is a Slimming World recipe taken from Diet Momma SW on Facebook - so ignore the syns/He parts and put what you want on it - unless you happen to be doing SW of course..Smash Pizza, mmmm yummy !!!!! (serves 1 syn free)
1/2 pack smash
water
syn free toppings (mushrooms,Onion,pepper etc)
fry light
Passatta
28g cheese (HE42g lowfat or 8 syns)
egg
garlic salt
herbs
pepper
make smash up with water and egg to form a dough, add garlic salt herbs etc
Flatten and shape into a disc (put mine on baking paper)
Add passatta and toppings
Bake until cooked 15-30 minsTrying very hard to be frugal and OS - just plodding on and doing my best!

I tried using some as a topping for a shepherd's pie a while back and we all hated the artificial 'glueiness' of it.

Nope - I use a small square non-stick cake tin for roasting chicken breasts, Cumberland sausage, vegetables etc. They don't know they're not in a proper roasting tin
So MrBE might want to buy a new cake tin, unless he gets in the habit of lining the tin with either bakewell paper or foil, depending on what he's cooking!Signature removed for peace of mind0
