Hi,
No I won't try it. The sweetner Agave Nectar isn't sugar free, infact it's quite high in sugar.
I will have to try and find a sweetner that is compatable with an icecream mixture, although I don't know if it can be done.
As custard powder is quite high in sugar, I tried to make my own, but it kept splitting.
I've also tried sweetner in cakes, but they just kept going hard and flat. It's surprising how sugar is actually needed in alot of recipes to make them work properly.
Thanx anyway,

I seem to recall using splenda for something or other that came out OK - I just can't remember what it was! <blush>Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. I have a recipe for cheesy bread in the breadmaker that needs 60g of quinoa flour or bran, neither if which I can get! Have been to Tesco, Asda and both Holland & Barrett's in town (who carry bran but are out if stock). Is there anything I can substitute? Or can I just use more of the bread flour that makes up the bulk of the recipe? Please help, loaf needs to go on in the next hour to be ready for tea!0

Only oats in my cupboard are strawberry and cinnamon toasted oats cereal, totally yummy, but wouldn't work. Would basic porridge style oats would work?0
