    Yes whenever I overlap when making a big lasagne that part is not cooked properly :(

    Bit late probably! Some makes seem to snap better than others, but I've found if I snap the corners off first then it's much easier to snap the rest of the end off:)

    I mean I do it with my fingers, not cutting them with a knife.

    OK, well, if the breaking the corners off first doesn't do the trick, I'd probably overlap but not touching, IYSWIM.

    So there's never 2 layers of lasagne touching, always a layer of sauce in between. I know you can pre-cook, but I have vivid memories of a friend's lasagne, which used every pan in the house, getting it stuck to two pans in the pre-cooking stage, and made a horrific mess!

    Very excited to see a breadmaker on ebay which is local to me and in my MSE price range :rotfl: (99p!)

    I've contacted the seller and she hasn't got the manual or the measuring spoon, I'm sure I can download the manual BUT will I need the measuring spoon to get the quantites right for the bread maker or can I use the kitchen scales? Its a Morphy Richards 48286. I can buy a spoon on ebay but they are £6 which isn't very MSE!

    i got measuring cups from poundland that i use for mine (mil gave it to me and had no spoon) i then got a recipe off here that was measured in cups and spoons

    A measuring spoon's a measuring spoon, when all's said and done, all you'll need to know is how big the MR one is, surely? And even more surely, someone on here will have an MR spoon and they will 'convert' it for you.

    Either that, or use any bread recipe, which will give measurements.

    I've just been looking at the icecream thread, and was going to ask a question but the thread seemed to fizzle out in January, so I'll ask here.

    I'm a diabetic, and I wondered if I could use sweetner if I made icecream? I know sugar, and especially icing sugar thicken a mixture, and give it more body, so I don't know if sweetner would work.

    Agave-Sweetened Chocolate Ice Cream
    About 1 quart (1 liter)
    Since the custard is made without sugar, keep an eye on things as it will cook rather quickly. You can either use a flame-tamer or cook the custard in bain-marie, a bowl set over a pan of simmering water, to avoid overcooking if you’ve never made a custard before. And because I don’t like washing dishes, I use the same saucepan for cooking the custard that I used for dissolving and blooming the cocoa powder, I simply scrape it as clean as possible and use it again for making the custard. ... etc ....
