Quick setting is counter productive. 40c is insufficient to kill the germs and bacteria, not just on the dishes but within the machine itself.
    Use the normal setting.
Checking the tablet packaging and see if it can be used for lower temp washes if you wish to continue doing this, or break them up before adding - many expect the wash to be hot so it dissolves properly.

Normal 55 celsius setting, I find the setting like fast and dry or econo 40 just don't clean like a dishwasher should.

I have never had to use the other harsh settings like above 55 degrees.
  • Mmmm interesting stuff - i haven't had any probs with the 40deg not cleaning as its such a small dishwasher that its on at least once sometimes twice a day (and 3 if I am baking!!) but am concerned that there may be bacteria lurking in the machine (find my washing machine gets stinky as I only ever use 30deg on it and have to hot wash every month to keep the smells at bay)

I shall try the normal setting after tea tonight and see how I get on. Thanks for all the replies

try adding a bit more sugar, as sometimes the tomatoes can give a bitter taste

    Hi All,

I followed a link on here to a lovely blog, of a lady who did all sorts of home crafts, especially crochet, she had lots of lovely things and wrote in a lovely easy to read style.

I've looked and looked and I just can't find it - can you help?

    Many thanks

    awwwww... no it wasn't...

it was ple blue if I remember rightly - she has lots of pics of her crochet work, she made a load of flowers and a huge colourfull throw for her sofa and cushin covers - even a bag.

it was very country cottagey - pics of daffs in a jug, that kind of thing... I'm so annoyed with myself for loosing the link, it was lovely to escape to her world every now and then :o)

Thanks though - will check that one out aswell xx

hot.chick, I'd love to see that. Have you tried looking through your browser's history? Try and remember - I love crochet!
