I remember making a packet jelly adding ¨something¨, then when the jelly set, it had separated into a cloudy jelly at the bottom and a frothy set foam on the top. Can anyone give me a clue what the ¨something¨ is please? or a recipe to make something similar for tea tonight
Thanks

Lots!
I use it on top of fruit for desert, it can be used in baking etc.
Also you can make sauces with it. I like to fry some onion, garlic and cherry toms in a pan then add big dollop of creme fraiche (turn the heat down at this point cos it will go funny if it's too hot) with some dill and lemon juice. I use this on jacket spuds, ontop of tofu (I'm veggie) or my parents have it on fish.
It can also be added to curries to make it creamy, you can make dips with it.

If you have animals that you let out and for example climb your sofa and run around living carpet. 'dropping stuff' food and waste etc. What can I get to stop an odours developing and generally just keep clean without having to do that whole shampoo thing. Do I get some sort of powder that i sprinkle on carpet prior to hoovering?
Looked in homebargains otherday but didnt see any in there0 -

SandyMake up the jelly to half pint & leave to cool slightly. Meanwhile beat a well-chilled small tin of evap till it has at least doubled in volume & gently stir the cooled jelly into it. Leave in the fridge to set. HTH [& what time shall I call round for tea

Are there any threads discussing the merits & disadvantages of using online billing for things like utility bills please? I've tried every combination of wording in the search bit, without any luck.
Thanks.
