Thanks CCP, and zippychick for getting back to me.

I have just eaten some myself and its fine. It was cooked thoroughly, and is in a sealed tub. My little boys got a vomiting and diarrhoea bug :(, so he won't be having any.

Ahh poor DS! Hope he gets better soon. I would even freeze it today - if it's ok to eat, it's ok to freeze :)

I'm still here, so it was fine. I will stretch to a three day rule from now on. My DS did end up having some, and is much better, thanks.

Quick question - I was putting eggs I'd just bought into my wire chicken and accidentally poked my finger in one! I don't want eggs for tea but will have them tomorrow for breakfast. If I crack the egg into a cup or tupperware would it be ok til then?

    TIA

  • I've done this many times. I crack the egg into a cup with a little bit of water on top as they seem to dry out without. I then use in an omelette. Hope this helps.

    Thanks missychrissy!

Another question...and I'm feeling a bit silly that I don't know the answer to this :o

I am on economy7 electric so I like to run my WM/DW etc overnight if I can cos it's cheaper, and then the laundry is ready to go out to dry when I get up which is great cos I only get the sun til 3pm ish. But it doesn't have a timer setting so I have to switch it on if I get up in the middle of the night (which I normally do). I've only ever used tablets or pouches whenever I've done my washing but this time round the liquid detergent and softner were cheaper to buy. So what I used to do was chuck in tablet/pouch with the laundry and then put it on when I pop to loo in early hours. Can I do the same with the liquid stuff or will it seep out of the drawer?! sorry it's such a dull question! :rotfl:

Sadly my WM is intergrated and I can't get to the socket to put a timer on it! But you can guarantee I'll be up in middle of night anyway so not too bad. I don't have a ball dispenser things ( :rotfl: ) but I will look at sourcing one. thanks!

Most companies will send you a dosing thingie for free ;) & if you look at the back of the box/container that your soap powder/liquid comes in, there's usually an address, free phone no or e-mail addie.

My only worry about NOT having liquid detergent in a ball and letting it 'sit' on top of the clothes until you get up to go to the loo is that it might interact with delicate fabrics or strong colours. But in one of those ball things it should be fine, and they are free.
