Today out went two old broken printers :j they have been sat in the hall way upstairs.

In: My amazon order but it is all little stuff with homes to go to. One item was a present and the rest where housewares.

I might be inspired to go and a tidy up and chuck more stuff out :rotfl:

  • Everyone is doing so well again - well done!

Mum and Dad helped out by taking a boot-full of old tongue and groove and some other bulky rubbish to the tip yesterday for me.

I took a carrier of old magazines along to the surgery when I went for a checkup this week and am back there on Wednesday, so plan to take another bag then - that will be one large storage box of mags cleared!

I can't believe it, after months of little action, I have managed to sell another two more paperbacks on greenmetropolis this week. (kaleoma - hope it works out for you too!)

I have just arranged for the collection of a fridge freezer, sofa bed and old patio heater by the council - worth paying £12 to get rid - none are worth freecycling, although I am considering taking out the glass shelves and veg trays to see if anyone wants these on freecycle.

I have a box of charity shop stuff and also two black sacks of bedding to give away.

Have stripped down an old chair that I plan to renovate. I have painted it with primer but need to rub this down and second coat it. I bought all the materials to do this work ages ago, but haven't got round to finishing it. I found some lovely fabric in Laura Ashley and so this has spurred me onto it. At least it will no longer sit, in the corner of a dumping ground bedroom and can instead sit in the hall as always planned.

I have a computer monitor, printer, coffee maker, pasta pot and wooden knife block to give away on freecycle too. I am also considering giving away an old hall stand - another "renovation project" that I have never got round to completing! Not sure I have the room for it any more, will think about it....

I think I might start clearing the loft. It might be my imagination, but I am sure the ceiling joists are starting to bow under the pressure on the top floor because there is so much stuff up there!:rotfl:
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

Bin day here today.:T plus 2 full green boxes. How on earth have I got so many plastic bottles in a week? I did a tip (recycling) run too, broken iron, old wok, damaged biscuit tins, thick cardboard (they won't take that in our cardboard bin:rolleyes: ). Only thing to landfill was broken plastic boxes that I could think of no other use for. I had a feeling though, I'd come home and find I'd forgotten something and I did. so that will have to wait till next week.

The dressing up clothes went to nursery. Other clothing is going to have to wait till the seasons have properly changed.

I have a few items of misc bits in a box in my bedroom, some are pieces from boxed games that I need to sort and then there's just the paperwork to finish off and I'm done.

I am flagging getting to the end though. Did anyone else who has finished get this and how did you get round it? If I leave the housework to concentrate on de-cluttering these last items the chores mount up and if I concentrate on the housework, the last of the de-cluttering doesn't happen. What to do?

I don't think you ever do finish to be honest; just when I think I've got it all up to scratch, something else rears up and waves at me.

I forgot something that came in 2 X Audio books from the library. But don't think they really count as they are here for 3 weeks and then gone again.
