i'm back on here, i was doing really well not long ago and got pretty straight but we still haven't gotten around to doing lots of car boots to get rid of all the things we put aside for it, so you can't really move in the only storage spaces we have which make the rest of the place look terrible.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Oh dear, I've been meaning to come on here ever since retirement hit at the end of 2008. (Hangs head in shame)
However today we have finally cleared the garage. Sadly nearly everything went to the tip, but never mind.
    So,
OUT: broken vax, several rusty garden chairs, old boots, old paint brushes, tins, boxes, odd items of china, etc. etc. Three boot loads in fact.
I was sent indoors because I kept trying to rescue things I'd forgotten we had - so it's DH who needs the praise (and is now very achey!)
    Ah well...it's a start.
    Resolution:
    Think twice before spending anything!

    ....snipped...................

    He managed to clear:
    - another recycling sack of paper,
    - a sack with squashed cardboard boxes from computer bits etc,
    - half a binbag of rubbish
    - a box of assorted bits for the charity shop.

He also went back with my spare kitchen utensil holder & a set of salad servers .

He promises more decluttering next time he is home - as does DD :D
