OK so we didn't sort the whole house out, but we did tidy one room really well, and make quite a lot of progress on the playroom (aka disaster area). And I connected up the video we just got off freecycle when the old one died.

    IN: nothing :T

OUT: about half a black sack of rubbish from clearing the playroom
    non-working SCART lead
Video/DVD which no longer plays either videos or DVDs

Tomorrow we're away all day, but I'm hoping for another good day on Friday.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

:hello:Can I join please? I've been lurking for a while, but haven't made any inroads into the clutter, but am determined to give it a try!

Thanks to Paybacktime2008 for the link in post #1189, it's really given me some inspiration! So, today I have decluttered :D one very small corner of my bedroom which has resulted in:

OUT (feels good to do this first!)

    One bag of rubbish
Various papers to the recycling bin (pick up next week)

    IN

A top for my DD for holiday from the local charity shop...very MSE :T

(The decluttered corner also benefitted from a number of items being put away or moved to the relevant room.)

I was hoping to get some more decluttering done over the bank holiday, but didn't have the time or energy, probably won't be able to get any further this weekend either.

So grand total for this week...

    In

Smart black jacket and trousers from carboot sale - 50p each :D

    Out

Magazine into recycling (there are only a few magazines left in the house that I haven't yet read, so will take them to work and read at lunch times next week. I will not buy any more once these are gone! Will just scrounge second hand mags off other people!)
Pair of unmendable socks into rag bag
    Two tops given to sister

Still decluttering here, I love my conservatory now it is clear, and have vowed never to let it get cluttered again.

Making inroads into the garage, we've done a couple of car boots and shifted loads of stuff, so now clearing boxes from the back bedroom :j

At some stage, we will have to declutter the loft

    Hi there

De-cluttered another little area of my bedroom (this is going to take ages!!!), so,

    OUT

    Papers to recycle
    Bits of rubbish to bin
Lots (n lots!) of old credit cards that we way out of date, cut up and binned
Today's junk mail to recycle bin

Also, stuff put back to their correct place

    IN

One item of post to action

    Not bad, I think.
