Hi there good Peeps!
I managed to get 2 latrge bags of Spinach whoopsied yesterday. what would you do with them?! Any suggestions? Have looked for a few recipies but I am not that struck? I might do a curry dish (aka saag) I also have a block of blue cheese that needs using up. and a savoury tart case I was given. Quite fancy doing something with that. any suggestions? I am not that well at the moment and my brain has gone to mush:o

Dried onions (used in naans/ bread so far. Have about 12 boxes )
Black bean sauce (6 jars)
Mincemeat (16 jars - makes lovely fruit cake but other ideas?)
Hi cheerfulness...
There was TREACLE thread a few days ago.
I fancy the ginger bread myself
There is a few ideas on the Whitworths site for DRIED ONIONS
I think I would use up the mincemeat/filo by doing the parcels as mentioned before. I bet they would be very yummy hot out of the oven with a cheeky little dollop of vanilla ice cream
The only thing I can think of using up the Black bean sauce for would be stirfrys

I would deffo go for a spinach quiche... a little bit of blue cheese would add a little extra bite to it.

Thanks for those links. :T
I was just looking back through all the treacle ones and I noticed a post from me from nearly 2 years ago! That must be how I learnt to use it for parkin and ginger cake. :rotfl:
Love the scones ideas but was horrified about the post about tins exploding when out of date. Heck hope I watched my dates when opening a new one. I seem to gather loads each time they're on offer.
That Whitworths site has a really nifty little recipe searcher, doesn't it? Gonna love playing with that cos I've found dates and broth mix now, too.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

I do feel for you ISOM - I get a bit overwhelmed by change, particularly changes I'd rather not have to make.
I especially understand about the cats. I adored mine too and felt guilty for a while after she died that it was also a relief not to have the worry of vet bills and cat food prices (that seemed to be escalating).
I now have a little cat two doors down that seems to have adopted me and follows me round when I'm gardening. Not quite the same but I love that little bit of furry company.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Hi All
I am really pleased with myself as I did a freezer inventory last night and plan on living on what's in freezer, fridge and stock cupboard for the next month with only having to buy a few fresh things for DD who is 2. I have yet to do my pantry but that's full of things too - all the staples, flour, plain SR, bread, eggs, jars, herbs, spices......So today my task is making up my next 3 weeks meals out of the below and a few added extras - to allow me to live on 175 a month for 2 adults and 1 toddler. I am so excited - any ideas please feel free to comment.
