I buy some things for snacks in bulk but hide them and ration them that way when they are gone they are gone

Online shopping helps me resist impulse buys and you can trim your basket if it looks scary but you miss out on whoopsies instead

peanuts are a cheap snack and i think weezl has a recipe for roast chickpeas(a bit like bombay mix)

Homemade cakes and hobnobs are cheap but maybe too yummy to resist all the mr t value swets like wine gums a nd toffee are ok too but pot noodles......yeuch value noodles a bit better but high in fat..........

been to aldi and stocked up on fruit and cereals and may pop in to lidl on way to hairdressers later too i think we need to learn to like uht milk too then i will stay out the shops........

Going to the big smoke next week and being in the audience of the mathew wright show so a getting my hair done and eyebrows waxed just in case i am on the telly!!!

I've cross stitched my Dad a book mark which I've stiffened with the stuff you put insode shirt collars (the name excapes me now :D) I had all the stuff in already so it was frugal to do. I'm also going to get him some ground coffee from Oxfam as it's his favourite and he doesn't often buy it for himself. I'd love to make him something sweet but he's diabetic & watches his cholestorol (sp?) & fat intake like a hawk so that's out. I might make some HM oat biscuits to go with cheese actually. Theres a recipe in The Paupers Cookbook somewhere ...........
