Found a recipe to make cordial without citric acid - just lemons, sugar and a little water so currently have my mix cooling and will bottle shortly :)

Yategirl, what are the measurements you used for the cordial?

Hi Shaz. I made it with out the egg because DS said he wouldn't eat it with eggs in it. I added some chilli flakes to it and it was yummy, I don't think it going to make it ti the freezer:rotfl:

    Hi elfin

I make parcels from foil with fish and a few veg in with a bit of vermouth in then bake in the oven ...............delish

That sounds great - I have some fish in the freezer (from a Youngs brand 'Try Me Free' offer - woohoo!) so will definitely give this a go. Thanks Shaz :T

Theres a recipe in The Paupers Cookbook somewhere ...........

That brings a question to mind I have wondered about before: aside from recipes gathered from this thread, what are people's favourite frugal recipe books?

I have The Pauper's Cookbook, and have used it a bit (although the indexing drives me crazy!), and I was also given a copy of 'More With Less' which I find I haven't used at all... I'd be interested to know what you all think icon7.gif
