As for toothbrushes I buy the packs of 5 from Poundland and they've been great. I'll have a look at the Smartprice ones now, although I don't generally shop in Asda, the next time I pop in.
I get those Poundland ones too (ie the kiddie ones with sticker feet) - and my hygienist said they were fine when I asked her.
ISOM - tut! tut! - rap knuckles - there was me being very good and determined not to make jokes about icecream - and you've been and made one - naughty lady!0 -
1 litre of double cream for £1.89 (gotta replenish Acetate's raspberry ripple supplies and give Mr BOB a chance to try it) :money:
would have been £2.80 in asda.:D
runs away to hide from raspberry ripple innuendo jokes....:o:o:o:o
Can i confess now that i hate icecream:o I will eat it now and then, but it is usually one from the Lake district of Rum and Raisin flavour once every three years or so:o
Wouldn't indulge Mr.B with it either cos i is mean:eek::rotfl::rotfl:
AM is safe with his supplies, sounds like he may need them;):D:rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
...and Bob's making icecream jokes too......another "tut!".....oh does that mean I can stop "being good" and join in too? No - resists hard - must be nice to our Weezl - seeing that shes a ladee....:D0
-
she may be a laydee but shes been known to have a joke on occasions too...although must confess its usually me with naughty humor! She dont need no rasp ripple now cos theyve got chocolate!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

How can I cool a red lentil dahl down that I have put way too much chilli into - 2 fresh green and 2 tsp of chilli powder? Whoops!
Can you mix plain yoghurt into it and it still be ok? Or another suggestions?
I was feeling so pleased with this frugal recipe coming in at either 13p or 18p per portion making either 6 or 8 portions and being v.frugal.

i love this thread and always read it.....i am interested in your price comparisons with costco as i have been a member for a few years and going to give up this summer as i think overall it is not cheaper, you really have to watch the VAT...i do love their £10 cakes though which are great value, especially for parties etc, you can do lots with them. however the tomatoes and milk sound cheap, i will watch what you come up with....
on another note i tried netto for the first time yesterday, overall not cheaper than Mr. T or Asda except their carlsberg lager was £11.99 for 24 cans...... keep the tips and recipes coming:D0
