Hi everyone - I'm lurking agin.

Just a query re costco - how do you become an individual member, there is info on the site about trade membership but I understand there is a membership for ordinary mortals without business bills etc. What ID do they want for that?

OH is going to Sheffield on Saturday and if pos he could go join up then, or at least get the forms.

total £198.3p for the cake,24.7p per serving if you have 8 servings (generous, it's very rich!) that's. That's a third of the price of the original recipe so I'm really chuffed. Mind you I haven't tasted the original, so I can't swear it's just as nice. But it's extremely nomnomnom!

Hi JayJay, I can't see it on the website, but it's mentioned on the makro costco thread, so must be true! I'll ask in store for you today and post back, then that'll give you chance to get the stuff together with DH...

Hi weezl :beer: Could you post a link to the recipe, please (I did a search, to no avail ). I bought some amaretti biscuits reduced after Christmas, and would like to give this a try

can confirm tis yummy...the almond version....if anyone wants a good cake recipe book the bargainous 1000 recipes books (ie cakes/chinese etc) are fab...even got turnip cakes for bobs!

Where are you buying your Amaretti biscuits from? I've had a look on Asda online and can't find them.
Think I might have spotted some once in Morrisons, but would love to know if Home Bargains sells them?
Anyone know where?

none in our HB cheerfulness tesco do them though, that's where I got the price from, you get enough for 5 cakes in a bag of amaretti...
