yep, freezes fine! Erm, never lasts long enough to go mouldy in our house, but I'd say you'd be fine for a couple of weeks
:D
Good, because i was going to put it on sandwiches and in freezer. My freezer however, is full. Oh well, will have to eat it..nomnom:o:rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hi everyone - I'm lurking agin.
Just a query re costco - how do you become an individual member, there is info on the site about trade membership but I understand there is a membership for ordinary mortals without business bills etc. What ID do they want for that?
OH is going to Sheffield on Saturday and if pos he could go join up then, or at least get the forms.
Hope you can help.0 -
morning!
sian some more updates just for you
i thought the frugalised version of the chocolate amaretti cake was a great success!
50g amaretti biscuits 37.8p
100g brazil nuts 47.2p
100g willow not butter (thanks sian for that tip!) 20p
150g asda smartprice dark chocolate 40.5p
4 eggs 38.8p
175g of sugar 14p
total £198.3p for the cake,24.7p per serving if you have 8 servings (generous, it's very rich!) that's. That's a third of the price of the original recipe so I'm really chuffed. Mind you I haven't tasted the original, so I can't swear it's just as nice. But it's extremely nomnomnom!
Back to costco today armed with my own version of a price book...

Wow!! That looks really impressive, and so easy :j I'll probably start with almonds (that's what's in amaretto, and I keep them in stockI might then buy some brazils
)

Where are you buying your Amaretti biscuits from? I've had a look on Asda online and can't find them.
Think I might have spotted some once in Morrisons, but would love to know if Home Bargains sells them?
Anyone know where?
Really looking forward to trying this one. :j
