Sorry if I did not come across as I should - it's hard - I know and you are right you have to 'keep your pecker up'.
When faced with adversity people and family, I might add, tend to call me 'hard-nosed' etc etc but you have to be inorder to get through.
It's only later when.............
Every one is different - that's what makes the world such an interesting place.
My thoughts are with you - but as has already been said 'no more pain' and that in itself is a blessing.
Enough said
My thoughts are with you - sending you positive thoughts
Be strong.

I've often worried that people at work thought I was "cold" about it all, but we had other issues going on at the same time and it would have been all too easy to "go under" if I'd let it all get on top of me! My younger son dropped out of college last November (didn't especially enjoy the course, but I think the stress of the home situation didn't help), my elder GD had a kidney operation at the end of July, and my elder son finished Army training and was being sent to join a regiment who were mainly in Iraq (fortunately, the lack of a 'personal passport' means he's been left with the rear party in Germany - which also made it easier to get him home now, he arrived just after 9pm today). On top of that lot work announced mass redundancies, and it was clear from the off that I was going to be one of those pushed out.Cheryl0 -
not sure I have mentioned it all in one go on MSE before. I'm a member of a crafting forum as well, and I know it's all cropped up in my "team" of 10 on there as it's happened. I've really only come into MSE after it was all starting to happen -- and is why I've started to spend so much time on here (and definitely one reason I'm really enjoying following this challenge/thread)Cheryl0

Hello all!
Realised I didn't give you the cheats fudge recipe.... D'oh,here tis:
cheat's fudge
I used dark choc in one double batch and added pecan bits, and used white choc in the other and added glace cherry pieces.
My verdict: The white choc one is exceptionally sweet (probably I will give it to children rather than grown ups!) I might use something with a bit of sourness like those lovely dried cranberries... That would be quite christmassy too....
the chocolate pecan one is very lovely, but you need to keep it warming up while you stir through the icing sugar (can't believe a 'fool-proof recipe went wrong for me, how embarassing!:o) or you get a little butter separation at the end.
I'm amazed we are managing to store it and not devour the lot. We have put it in tupperwares on top of the fridge, too high for me to reach, but AM is showing marvelous restraint!
Dear freecycle, I PMd you when my fab pressie arrived, did you not get it?! Oh no! Thank you thank you thank you.:j:j
For those intrigued, she has sent two books highlighting amazing parenting techniques: no nappies (at all) and sleeping with your child in your bed for the first few years. I don't know if anyone's published a book suggesting that you do both at the same time... imagine rolling over onto a freshly laid patch of brown  It's a worrying thought gentle reader!
All joking aside, I think there is some fascinating wisdom in these books. The writer of diaper free is very enamoured with 'the lucid beauty of every pregnant woman'- marvelous! I shall call this to mind when I discover another varicose vein! (AM says it's just a bruise and I'm catastrophising!!!)
Love to you all (and a big hug to CW18, and one from AM to you too)

aww cw so sorry to hear your news - been decorating this week and trying to make presents in the eve so not on as much...if you want a chat on the phone with someone who isnt affraid to talk about death and all that goes with it without !!!!!footing let me know...its so hard while people are not knowing what to do and it makes me feel a mix between alien and piece of priceless china!!
another frugal baby being grown - how lovely!! Big mumma the pate is ok and I didnt get pregnant when I tried it...maybe the blackberry bushes that get you up the duff?
yummy fudge and dont know how mr weezl/am does leave it!! he's got hollow legs dear reader! As for Ferguses having no nappies really not sure about that and being honest the baby in bed thing goes under the umm category- did anyone see the comparison baby techniques prog on c4 last year - very interesting contented baby (all copies should be burned); relaxed approach and the take baby everywhere and dont let them leave you approach....as with many things I try to go for the middle of the road balance...anyway...
Weezl how is the budget going in terms of meeting the challenge? I am doing better but still thin a "leave mr t under 50 quid" thread would be more appropriate or me!
Off to finish tidying before diy man comes and hopefully the house will return to its normal mess today....flat is very compact & bijou so cant cope with an empty bathroom - currently all over the flat!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Shaz that sounds delish. Might well give it a go- do you think it would work well with some coconut milk thrown in? I have some lurking in the freezer...
CW18- my thoughts are with you. I've often been in awe of your posts on here- you always seem to be so in control. Glad to hear that you've been able to get your army son home- that must be a comfort.
Day off for me today but I am full of a hacking cough which I've had for a week. I fancy a day of pottering around- may try and have a trial run of the biscotti I'm doing for Xmas presents and maybe start the skittle vodka too. Sorting skittles into individual colours sounds like a lovely relaxing job.

No PM in my inbox
reckon it doesn't like me anymore lol
I can honestly say that we used both books in conjunction...both sleep with baby (very sluggly) and nappy free -must point out that terry cloths were my best friendsbut we never had any unseemly patches as when you combine both, believe it or not baby lets you know when he wants to go in plenty of time
Definatly food for thought though LOL.....and maybe not for those who prefer sleep....but then what is sleep when you have a new baby
Must have a go at the fudge now...
