So sorry to hear your news - weezl put it well by saying we are a real community so please if you and your family need help give us a shout.0 -
I'm a great believer in one door opening as another closes....of course I am sorry for your Loss Cheryl, but it must also be a comfort to know hubs is no longer in pain
And Bashful! Congratulations to you Both! So you're doing a tad more than following Weezl's recipes thenPerhaps I'll avoid that there pate, cuz I've made my contribution to the Continuation of Wo/Mankind collection plate already
I've a pot of veg stock on the go as I type; made it the other day but got the urge to 'reduce' it for some reason--bit anxious cuz I've not done this bit before. Plan is to use some to rehydrate the soya mince that will be mixed with sausagemeat & thrown into some puff pastry I've dug out of the freezer. I'll add some dried herbs & m'be an onion in ours [but not Pup's] & perhaps do some potato wedges cuz the oven will be on! Can I eat it at 10am? My tum's just rumbled

Hi everyone
Been lurking here for a while, but have convinced the household that 'don't ask what's for dinner, just eat it'!!
I need to read back but thoughts are with everyone who is not having an easy time at present - know how it feels in every way believe me.
Will write more another time.
Basically you are all a great inspiration to me.

I had no idea that you had your husbands's illness going on as well. - You always seemed to be so cheerful and positive.
As I said before I have been lurking for a while - even read all of Weezl's other journey - through it all you were and still are an inspiration to us all.
Take care and remember to take time to feel the blessings and love emanating from all of us on Moneysaving.
Even though its expected, its still a shock.
'It does not go away, we just learn to live with it'
Take care and be strong

Many thanks to all for the comments in the last couple of days
Annie -- as for being "cheerful and positive", there was no point in letting it all pull me down as we'd never have survived through it mentally or financially if I hadn't "kept my pecker up" as one friend put it !!
I'm still reading this thread (and others), and it's nice to see what others are up to. I'm finding "face to face" friends are afraid to talk about "normal" things in case it upsets me -- but I really feel the need to carry on as normal as much as possible..... partly for me, and partly for the "kids" (almost 25, rising 20, and 17+) and grand-daughers (3.5 and not long turned 5).Cheryl0
