Well, I've just caught up with the earlier posts from this evening.

This thread has become very personal and abusive, far beyond the level of criticism I have posted of PB. I hope a mod wipes it.

Consequently, I will take advice offered, i.e. sling my hook. But not because I don't like PB, but because I don't like the tone of the thread any more. It is threatening.

Good debate is one thing. Bile and vituperation are another. Lightly barbed criticism of a commercial organisation is one thing. Personalised attacks on fellow MSE-ers are another. (And I know that Darragh is an MSE-er, by virtue of his membership, but he is representing a commercial organisation).

Those people who have simply expressed agreement with either side of what can hardly be called a debate are fully entitled to do so. But those who have been somewhat intemperate may like to re-read their posts in a couple of days' time. Maybe they'll feel different after their emotions have calmed.

I'll continue to post crossword solutions, if people are interested. Otherwise, I think my time is better spent with people of a gentler nature.

With huge apologies to the vast majority of contributors, including Darragh, who show respect to each other, and who, in the event of a discussion, are able to put their point of view perhaps with a glint in the eye, but without hostility.

Droopsnout I agree with the thread getting abusive and personal - especially on Tuesday (yesterday) - but you not posting would simply leave the thread with one less person making decent posts. Reconsider??? If not then I hope you will return to posting soon (if and when the thread gets back to being fun.)

I had a similar problem with cdwow last week. I rang them up and they said to try again in 4 hours as once the code has been entered, it takes at least 4 hours for the security code to unlock so it can be re entered.

I did as advised and it worked.

  • I agree with the above posts...
I dont understand what all this criticism of pigsback is for? Sure, sometimes they may not have the quiz questions posted up, or they may be a little slow to send out vouchers, but who really cares!!! Your getting something for free, it only takes you a few moments a day, and thats it, you get your points.
Ive only been using the site for a month or two but ive already ordered one CD for free!!!!! yes, i didnt have to spend a penny of my own money!! Im already well on my way to getting another FREE CD. Come on guys, stop being fools.
  • Don't go Droopsnout! I really enjoy reading your posts, and think that they are calm and constructive regarding the Pigsback wrinkles that need ironing out.

I know what you mean, but if all the good guys leave, what is left?
