Well have skimmed quickly through the thread.

Pigpen Thanks for the thread cos if it wasnt here I wouldnt have managed to catch up with my flying today as quickly as I have. Wanted to do as much as possible bcause Im meeting friend in town for lunch tomorrow and then working all weekend.

Sleep in went well. The two ladies are quite able and were showing me where things were and what to do. Was on my own with them. They have Sky and I was told to watch a film with them in the afternoon. Well I couldnt refuse.

Didnt get much sleep as kept hearing noises. Oh and they have a cat which sat on me last night. Was told by staff this morning that it doesnt sit on people and bites.

This flying business has paid off as when the day staff came in she complimented me on how spotless the place was. Another nice compliment was the ladies who live there asked if I could go back if they needed staff again.

Toots I know you wont see this but Im thinking of you.

AnWsMum Im so sorry to hear of your friends mum. Big hugs for you all.

tiamai_d Hope you get a replacement for your sofa.

Valli Glad you got your hot water back on.

    lil_me Big hugs.

pigpen I know it will be a hassle but I would go for the course you really want to do.

polka Thought the emails to your ex toxic friend were spot on. Good for you. I couldnt believe her response. Dont ring the doorbell? Also the other bit about stealing her property  Is she for real? You are a far better person. You dont need all her negativity.

jjef Hope you get your hot water and heating on soon.

Summermoon Keeping everything crossed for you.

For what it's worth, (and given that I don't know you... only what I've gleaned from here) here's my opinion.....

You sound like an extremely determined, and intelligent woman. I don't think you'll be satisfied with a compromise decision. I could be wrong about that.... But I'm guessing not! :p

I honestly believe you should throw yourself heart and soul into the thing you really want to. Anything else will result in long term b*tching and whinging and general p*ssed offness..... (and ultimately that can't be good for us on here :rotfl: :rotfl: )

Once you get fully informed, you'll able to make the best decision for all of you. ;)

    xxx
    Superbly put.
The time management would be really complicated, but would not fancy coping with a p****ed off pigpen.

Cheers Sarah.. and why would you not all like me doing something I'm not happy with.. I cannot imagine for the life of me what you mean!

I have.. opted for visiting the uni in Leeds.. they have an open day in October.. SO.. I'll go there assess the practicalities and decide from there. I think I need to establish if it is a viable option before committing myself to anything

Just phoned customer service and got the value of the missing items refunded :D So that's about £7-8 going back on my card :j Glad about that as I noticed a couple of things I thought I'd deleted from my list but hadn't:o My entire bill came to £52.20 so I'm wondering if I'm still not going to get charged for delivery or not as I used an e-voucher for free delivery on orders over £50 :confused:

Right, on with the essay :wall:

The cannot charge you for delivery because they delivered less than £50 worth of stuff but you ordered (presumably you have a copy/screenshot) more than £50 worth of stuff. Stand your ground on this one. In case you need it - www.consumerdirect.gov.uk
