Gosh that's a dilemma, is it council by any chance? If so is it possible that you could have a word with them and explain the situation, they may be willing to offer you your grandparents house instead? It's worth asking...?0

typical they fone right at the end of the day when i cant realy do anything, sooo frustrating!

I know how frustrating it is dealing with the council, you'll get through tonight ok have a relaxy bubble bath and a good nights sleep so you're armed and on full 'fight' mode tomorrow.
Good idea getting your local councillor involved, I used one once when dealing with a council house and it was well worth it, they have more clout than you realise....Good Luck and I hope they give you the house you want, I really don't see what difference it makes to them they'll be giving it to someone either way.
Would like to post an update on jobs now, but there isn't one....hey ho0 -

I've found an old boyfriend on Facebook and I've written him a message but haven't sent it yet, I'm frightened too incase he thinks I'm weird or after something more than saying hello kinda thing, is it proper to do that sort of thing? Would it be ok?0 -
Evening all
Polka - I don't think anyone's answered this - but I've only really skim read..... the skirting halfway up the wall is called a dado rail.....
Welcome new people
Well, my suspicions were right - there WAS a traffic census this morning. Fortunately, cos I left early, it only delayed me by about 10 minutes - but I wasn't called over to answer the questions. Felt almost agrieved by that! If I'm queuing that long, they could at least ask me a question or two! And my tactic worked. They HAD put one on the back road too so staying on the main dual carriageway was the better option.
I'm glad I wasn't going that way this evening though - I clocked the mileage of the queue as I came back down the other side and, given rush hour hadn't really even properly started, the queue was 3 miles long and getting longer...
But, better dash prep some tea then go out and do this presentation. I'll have to leave early because I'm 90% certain that I need to be in for work v. early tomorrow (i.e. by 7am which means leaving at 6am). I'll get a text later tonight. There's a deadline of 2.30pm which needs to be met....
