    Morning

I'm in the pigpen camp with my germs, woke up through the night with a really sore throat just on one side and I'm praying it's not the start of tonsilitis....think it may be too high up for that...but fingers crossed. Got work today for 5 hours which isn't good seeing as I'm a bit under the weather I've also got to weight train tonight, I think I'll see how I feel as the day goes on before making decisions on either of them, obviously work will have to be re-arranged cause I can't visit grannies with something that might be contagious.

There's tea dishes all over the benches off last night (finally got to eat around 9pm) but think I'll delegate them to teenie as with the hoovering lol.....I've also just remembered I've got a bag of wet washing in my car from Monday - oops! - best get that in and bung the drier on I suppose.

Nicki You're doing fab, good luck on your second day of work (it is your second today isn't it - darn this memory)
Soappie big hugs to you, hope you're feeling more sparkly soon x
MSD I feel for you, big squishy hugs x

    Morning everyone,
Well I hope everyone is ok today :)
I was out cardmaking last night and really over did it energy-wise  so will be taking it [strike]easy[/strike] easier today.
Thankfully yesterday I also did the whole upstairs (bedrooms, hall and bathrooms) as well as the Tuesday list so I don't feel too bad not doing today's list.
Might pop back on for a HHC later as need to put clothes away and maybe do another washing too.
    Take care everyone.
    xx OS

    Own list
    - meal plan for another couple of weeks
    - finish last nights cards
    - make more Christmas cards
    - put dry washing away
    - do another washing (?)
    - wash nappies
    - check finances

Wednesday wobbles- Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
Level 1, 2- done on Monday and Tuesday
Level 3- partly done on Monday, partly not needing done
Extra mission: Take your pick!- none today.

Tuesday Trauma - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level 1, 2, 3 - done
Extra Mission : help yourself – did 3/5

  • Polka I know loads have said this already, but I wanted to agree! There's no way I'd give those cakes of yours away free. You clearly have a huge talent for this. The one you baked for the comp looked incredible. Make 'em all pay lots and lots of money for them!!!! : ))

    Good morning ladies,

Well as you can see, no call again this morning, so I'm determined to go and do the food shopping this morning cos I've been putting it off for days, and now we don't have the food in for tonight's dinner, so it's become essential.

Can hear the council cutting the lawns, so I'd best be off to get dressed - can't have them looking through the window and seeing me in my nightie can I?

    Bye!
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Phew that was close! I'm back and dressed now, so had best copy today's list from the first post, and then work out if there is anything else I need for the food shop before I go, and then be off again. I suppose I could be ultra organised and plan next week's meals before I go first, seeing as we are already half-way through this week.

Ok, will look at the meal planning thread first then.

polkdot - sorry I didn't get back to you last night, I was too busy yelling at DD who came home an hour late!!! I meant exactly what the others said. Your cakes are way too special to be given away, and it would devalue them. If you offered one at say an auction of promises for a local charity, or as a raffle prize, then you are clearly underlining the fact that they are valuable. Do you have a local LETS scheme? They exist in some areas, and are a scheme where people exchange goods and services without using money. This may be a possibility, but it depends a bit on whether there was anything you wanted in exchange.

:hello:sexymouse - I'm home again too, obviously teachers haven't yet gone down with the latest bugs! Give it a week or two!

embb and pigpen, hope you are both feeling better soon.

I'm doing the main bedroom today, and the bedlinen is already washed. Just off to do the washing up, and then whisk the vacuum around. I want to go to the allotment this morning too, and then downtown this afternoon, after I've finished planning next week's lessons. I was doing some work too late last night, and hardly slept with all the scheme/books/details whizzing round my head...I'm stopping earlier tonight!

Well the mealplans for next week are all done - OH complained that we seem to have the same things each week, so I've tried to vary it a bit this week. It's hard to plan meals in this household as I'm vegetarian (don't like the taste and texture of most meat, but I do eat some fish) and won't cook meat, and OH won't eat fish, so I can never do things like a tuna pasta bake etc. This is what we're having for any of you who may be interested (or trying to kill time to get out of studying):

Sa - pesto potato bake, salad and veggie burgers
Su - pesto potato bake, veggie bolognaise and corn on the cob
M - Sausages (veggie for me, meat for OH - he has to cook), mash & beans
    T - At MIL's for dinner
W - Chilli beanfeast, rice and sour cream
Th - Butternut and ricotta ravioli (from the food fair), salad & garlic bread
F - At my parents for dinner

Have made sure that I've added cream of tartar (to make snickerdoodles) and baking powder (to prevent further flat cakes) to the shopping list too. :D

Right, I should be off to the shop, not gassing on here. Will put the toilet cleaner down the loo to soak before I go, and will probably be up for a HHC when I get back.

    Bye for now,

    sexymouse xx

  • Morning everyone.
Well I'm stuck in all day because DD is still off school. Have ss the kitchen, done a load of washing and hung it out and had a quick tidy round. Don't think I'll manage much else as DD needs entertaining.
Hope everyone has a good day.
