But I have to park up to get the wheelchair out and then push them round the supermarket so I would expect to be able to use the disabled space. We all evolve - get on with it0 -
Didn't think they dealt with parking - do they?
How about this scenario - I drive a disabled person to a supermarket.
I have no blue badge, can I park in a disabled space?
The foreign office will tell you what rights foreign visitors have in this country, and if the can use their own disabled badges, or if they will be issued temporary ones. I think the UK ones cover the whole EEC.
The blue badge belongs to the holder and not the car. So if you take a dissabled person to the supermarket, then they bring their badge with them and display it in your car.
I would have thought that someone who has such stong views would actually know something about the scheme......or are you just a troll?0 -

But the disabled person who is visiting me has left their blue badge at home.
As I have no blue badge I have no knowledge of how the scheme works. We all evolve - get on with it0 -

Stop being a troll and just arguing for the sake of it. The answer is obvious to anyone with half a brain........you drop them at the pickup point, then go and park.
Like I said before use common sense.0 -

I do use common sense which is why I park in a disabled space when I have a need to, as I and anyone else that wishes to is entitled so to do. There is no pick-up point at my local supermarket. We all evolve - get on with it0 -

Well, surely any driver who is with a disabled person could do the same, blue badge or not? But if they have a blue badge, it's their right, right?
There is no reason why a disabled person should not use a disabled bay at a supermarket if they need to, regardless of whether they have a blue badge. The spaces have been provided for them under the DDA.0 -
You all seem to have gotten hold of the wrong end of the stick here, it is my car park, for my own personal use, I do not rent spaces out, I do not charge people for using it and I am not in any way defending the 'clampers and scammers'. It is mine for my personal use, just like my home, and as the law states, I have every right to defend it( with reasonable force, obviously) and also remove any trespassers( again with reasonable force).
To all intents and purposes it is my drive.
Neither do I work for, or am I associated with any of the scammers, I use the NCP as a deterrent to any of the inconsiderate morons that choose to park on MY property.
I am not a loud shouting newbie defending the scammers and ner do wells, but I will defend my morals, and stand up for what is right.
Don't want parking hassle? Stay off my land.
Don't want banking charges? Don't go overdrawn.
Don't want to pay Credit insurance? Don't sign up for it.
For every action, there is a reaction. People would do well to realise this.
I am a 'stand up' law abiding citizen, I work bloody hard and pay( in my opinion) far too much tax, as I'm sure most others in the forums do.
I do not wish too argue/fall out with anyone on the boards, BUT I do reserve the right to defend my opinions, as free speech is the one last bastion of what our country stands for.
Thank you for listening.0 -

How do you use NCP as a deterrent?
