Parking ticket in Asda car park - Is this legal, can they take me to court?

true but only a very small percentage. because most would lose their careers. considering how long it takes to study and become a lawyer, I dont see why most would risk it. the only ones who tend to get in trouble are drink driving offences, and that could happen to anyone really.
My son is a lawyer which is why I know the law as it applies to using the blue badge and I can assure you that if your friend really is a lawyer, he needs to be very careful when he is illegally using your blue badge!
As to your last sentence (in red above) your attitude to drink driving is frighteningly lax ..... it couldn't happen to me as I don't drink and drive, ever!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

You don't have to be a lawyer to know the law
Misuse of a blue badge is a serious :eek:offence.- A badge can be withdrawn if it is misused or allowed to be misused by others.
- It is a criminal offence for non-disabled people to use a badge. If they do so, they are liable to a fine of up to £1,000.
- It is a criminal offence to drive a vehicle displaying a blue badge unless the badge holder is in the vehicle, or the vehicle is being driven by someone other than the badge holder for the purpose of entering or leaving an area (which is accessible only to vehicles displaying a blue badge) in order to pick up or drop off the holder.
If your going to use colourful and emotive terms at least add colour and emotion to your text, by the way misuse of a blue badge or blue badge facilities or contravention of blue badge regulations is an offence, it's hardly a serious one.
Examples of a serious offence:
Beastiality
Murder
Grevious bodily harm
Kidnap
Arson
You'd have to look long and hard to find someone who considered it a serious offence.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -

you probably dont work a stressful job either. maybe in a difficult time of your life, such as wading through entrails on a battlefield as i have......and as lawyers commonly encounter difficult court proceedings - you might hit the bottle too. All it takes is to drink the night before, wake up feeling sober, yet still be slightly over the breathalyser and thats it - life over.0 -

It can only happen to people who drink and drive, and have no regard for the safety of themselves or others. I have to deal with the results of drink driving, and it is a serious matter.0 -

It depeneds on your tolerance, I have high alcohol intolerance so whilst I might be tecnhically over the limit the officials dont know that I am in fact totally aware and better driver than sober one. I only drive at night, when school children are highly unlikely to be run over also, so I take precautions.0 -
Stop doing wind up posts - it might annoy someone. We all evolve - get on with it0

Please don't take the liberty of quoting my post and then adding bits of your own.
For your information, the wording of the piece I posted (colourful and emotive as it may have been) was a direct quote and not my own words.
I can't find the original page I quoted from, but look here then perhaps you will stop picking at my posts and quoting bits to suit yourself.

you are aware that without any evidence you have in fact libelled someone by calling them a criminal?? I am always in the car with him when he uses the badge.0
-
And you break the law yourself by admitting that you drive over the limit as regards to alcohol.
At least we know you are a criminal. We all evolve - get on with it0
