    Morning all,

Beth and Joannasmum, I'm glad that both your dh's are well enough to be coming home.
Aussie, loved the pics of you and the top.
Charlies mum, I hope you all have a lovely day.
catowen, good to see you posting again, I'm glad life is going well for you and the children.

I was up early to get dd out to work and ds2 out to rugby practice. Afterwards he has Duke of Ed so he won't be home until tea time. I made them all a cooked breakfast, have done the dishes, sorted out the bedrooms, tidied and dusted the living room and have a sausage casserole in the slow cooker. I don't do mornings so now I'm wrecked. :o

This afternoon I'm going to take ds2 out foraging. Hoping to get sloes and blackberries and I spied a wild apple tree while I was out at work so we may go there too. Not a lot else happening here.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

I think I broke them lol
[/strike] Dunno, they won't work properly for me either

    I still can't see Aussie's pics, I reckon she's blocked me or summat :D

I've cleaned out 2 animal cages, done three loads of washing (which I'm not putting outside cos every time I do, it rains) and swept the carpets. I want a carpet sweeper NOW but I'm getting some free B&Q vouchers at the end of the month so I'm hanging on til then. Wonder if you can get mini ones for stairs

We gave miss troo a kick up the bum jobs-wise a couple of days ago, she came back with a load of application forms yesterday. She's very good with her money and has saved loads so she didn't see job hunting as urgent

Disdisbiff, cake for you too :bdaycake: sorry :o

Hope the weather stays dry for the weddings smiley_wedding.gif

DD(19) has a friend over whose birthday is today so I asked her what she would like a a "birthday breakfast".

Made about a dozen pancakes which they had with a choice of lemon juice and sugar, strawberries and cream or two kinds of jam!

DH has a bit of a cold coming on so I made him take some home made elderberry syrup to soothe his throat.

Sitting here with a tray of tea as dd and friend are in the kitchen and I do not want to be crashing about around them.

Delighted that betheebee and joannasmum have their DHs back!!!:j

DD goes back to uni tomorrow which will seem strange after having her home for the summer.

    I really like your blouse!

Glassware all washed, new table cloth ready, potatoes par boiled for the roasties, carrots prepared, soup prepared, lamb in the slow cooker, only cauliflower, y puds and stuffing to prepare nearer the time - whewwwwww! A large cheeseboard for afters.

Glad to hear poorly DHs are a bit better. MeanMarie - how is yours?

Hope you all have a lovely weekend. I am just nipping out for some nibbles to go with the pre-dinner drinks. Come Dine With Me isn't a patch on my preparations today!

Take care and hugs to all (my smileys aren't working either)

    hello everyone

have a juice break. Couldn't sleep last night as was being kicked to pieces by bump so ended up cleaning the kitchen at about 1am! Needless to say, I'm now very tired today :D

not a busy day for me - hubby off at rugby and won't be home for hours so I'm in by myself and actually revelling in having the tv remote to myself (not that there's much on!)

Bagels for lunch and take out for dinner - yum.

Great news about betheebee and joannasmum's DH's coming home. I'm really pleased and wish them all well xxxxx

    good afternoon all (again)

I am just making bread and thought I would come on here to wait for the techie guys to figure out what is wrong with my computer,,it seems it is low on virtual memory

I have wiped down the kitchen tops
got rid of a load of rubbish
    cleaned the cats dishes
    swept the floor
had a cuppa and toast for lunch
    cleaned the cooker
    wiped down the cupboards
all with stardrops and vinegar and those micro cloths ,,they are great

right I will get over to the techies and see if anyone has figured it out yet

    see you later

Troo - think what you're after is called a dustpan and brush, lol! Make your dd use it often enough and she'll quickly find another job!

Elona - oh I bet your are really going to miss your dd1, and what a lovely thing to do for her friend, I'm coming round to you on my birthday, whenever I cook pancakes they're all gone before I get there! Hope your dd2 is feeling a lot better now as well.

Kaatlady - nice to see you back! Hope you get your virtual memory sorted out, no idea what it is though, I've never heard of it!

Well got loads of blackberries, they're all finally looking good here! Bunged them in moski with loads of apples (courtesy of my friend last week), took hardly any time at all to cook, just added a bit of sugar and waiting for them to cool down a bit before I pop some in pies for the freezer and make a crumble for pud tonight. They smell delicious though, and the whole house smells lovely now as well! Another little thing that makes me happy!

Gena - hope it goes well tonight, how about getting your dsd's to help with some baking and then munching it tonight in front of a dvd or whatever they like to watch on Sat night telly?

OS and Jo - hope you feel better soon xx

Candygirl - great news about the scan, hope your dd is feeling a lot better now, and I bet your dad was really cheered up by the pic, hope he's having a good day and that your mum is on the mend as well xx

Aussie - my "admirer" almost died when he realised what he'd texted, lol! Don't think he'll be doing it again in a hurry!
