got a lot of running about today DD1 has got her gym club DD2 is going to a party and wants to go to meadowhall to buy a present and then she is off to a bowling party
I was thinking about what I liked about this site and apart from all the obvious stuff like money saving:T i love all the chat it is so easy to be completely self contained in your own busy life not really knowing what else is going on in the world. on here though you become part of this huge family with all its ups and downs, it brings your own agenda into perspective and I love knowing what other people are doing (is that just me being nosy:rotfl: )
I cant wait to get on here in a morning and see whats going on :D
  • Morning all :hello:

Glad to hear your DH is coming home Betheebee :T I take it the cotton wool is to wrap him in, good thinking!

Aussielass - I love the top.

Chicken pie or curry tonight:confused: Can't decide, I will wait and see later..

Going to blitz the house and then I think I will stop the sofa from floating away by lying on it and reading ;)

    Hugs for all

got 3 days off now!:j have given the kitchen a good clean - on my hands and knees to do the floor, second load of washing nearly finished in machine - 1 more to go!
Am waiting for a phonecall to say DHs pigeons have been liberated and are on their way home - my job to clock them in today if they are back before DH - last race of the season - his birds have hit a winning streak the last couple of weeks.

Need a chat to DS1 this weekend now he's home for a couple of days. His car is like a skip - no exageration and I dread to think how he's been looking after the flat while his landlady is on holiday:eek: his room is usually like something Kim and Aggie would tackle:rolleyes: he is nearly 19 and needs to be reminded to shower and change his underwear:rolleyes: - bout time he got his act together!

anyway I've been mioliering a bit so I better go and check the rest of the threads:D

weather is awful here, but no where as bad as the poor folks in Galveston are having.
DS heads off to uni this afternoon and I've already had a few tears about it...hoping to hold it all together in front of him. ;) got the last of his washing to sort out before he packs..typical male has nothing packed yet. there is a huge pile of "stuff" in my livingroom..towels, quilts, bedding etc...and he has packed his game console!!!
going to go through cupboards and put some tins etc in a box for him.

hope everyone has a lovely day despite this weather.

I am so glad your DH is coming home today, sorry for waffling on about the wedding when you are having such a tough time. Same goes for Joannasmum x

    morning all,

The sun is shining :T , its a beautiful day, 1st load is in the wm and almost finished, two more to go, I could have squeezed it into two loads, but I like to do OH work clothes seperatly as they are sooo dirty  .

Bread has been knocked back and is proving again, ready to go in oven in a while, will have warm bread and butter with hm jam for breakfast. DD is still in bed, will get her up in a mo, she is off out with her dad today, I think OH and I will go walking, its too nice to stay in doors.

Oh and I have jacket spuds for tea with ham, cheese, toms etc, and dd had pasta bake, she hates jacket spuds

Need to have a quick hoover round this morning, then the rest can wait till monday.

N9eav it could have been worse, you could have reversed into something with the wedding cake in the car :D

Charliesmum, I do hope everything goes well for the wedding today, lets hope it stays dry, please let us know how you got on, and yes we like photos :D

Beth and Joannasmum, so glad your DH's are coming home, take care of them hugs x

    Aussie, nice top xx

WMF good luck for today xx

Cat, nice to see you posting xx

Dogrose, good luck for later, it must be so hard seeing them go off, hugs xx

Well I did not have my usual glass of wine last night, I had an emergency dash to the loo, (sorry if tmi), and felt a bit rotten all night, not sure what caused it, still I was in bed by 10, and feel much better now, full of energy, which I will walk off today.

    Have good days all xx

    Morning.

Joannasmum, so pleased OH is home. Hope Joanna enjoys her ballet :D
Betheebee, so pleased OH is coming home, now both of you take it easy.
    N9eav...ouch.
Catowen, lovely to see you. Great news that DS has settled well into school and lets be honest, what he got in Year 6 SATS won't show on his CV :D (thank goodness) Lovely for DD that she has been picked as a captain, what a confidence boost as she gets ready to move schools. I thought of Rzl also when I realised it was the last night tonight.
    Charlies-Mum, have a lovely day.
FrugalSwan, how are the plans coming along.
Aussie, very clever, the top is lovely, smile next time :D

Got to visit MIL today, it's her birthday. Then take Miss Twit to school for a hockey match, no idea what time she will need collecting though. I'd better have a blitz round the house as Mr Twit is meant to be home tonight and whilst I remember I'll get some steak out of the freezer, I forgot the other day :o

Mioliere, I'm having a nightmare with CIS, I've recived the pack and the payslips etc, but when I ring to verify this lad, I keep getting fobbed off. Now they've said it hasn't been linked and I can't verify until it has and as such can't pay the lad  when I asked about the Aug return, they said don't worry, you won't be chased....HA, I'm sending in a NIL one, not taking the chance. The chap on the phone said this has been happening quite a bit recently  and not to worry. I'm glad we only have the one lad and not a whole gang of them.

    Enough waffle.
    Hugs to all
    Love The Twit :grouphug:

PS, Pen-Pin, when's your slightly unreliable lady next due and have you managed to resolve anything.

Welcome back Catowen seems like ages, you sound as though things have been a bit hectic

Funky-Fairy Hope DS feels better soon x

Kathy you are so right, it could be a lot worse,

sistercas we used to be like that, here there and everywhere with DS1 and DS2 when they were growing up, now its the oldies turn, so it looks like we are destined to keep on running:laugh:
