The bit I dont get is that he has refunded a few people who have raised a dispute. I thought ebay or paypal would not entertain this until the appropriate time had elapsed (between 10 & 60 days after purchase date). If his plan is to refund everyone when the buggies do not appear, why did he bother with it all in the first place. Surely his plan is to collect as much money as possible off innocent buyers them do a disappearing act with the money ??0

I have just rung Ebay customer support to see if there is anything else we can do . They said just leave the negative and raise the dispute/claim on Paypal asap. She then said we will DEFINITELY get our monies back . I then posed the question , well what if he has completely emptied his account of money will we still get it back ? and she said YES . Under the new Paypal rules we are completely covered upto £500 .Baby Thomas born 3 months early by emergency section on 21/1/09 weighing 1lb 15ozs .

I doubt its worth leaving negative feedback to be honest (although I still will), as he is unlikely to trade under the same name again, as he had already changed his business name once on Ebay. I'd love to meet that guy in person . . . . .. . . .(imagining suitable revenge!!) . . . . .0

This whole thread was started by the line 'Is this too good to be true' and it looks like we now know the answer. Scammers usually sell high value electrical goods but this one is different. Most rely on greed as the carrot but in this case emotions and probably necessity were also involved. I would have thought everyone who paid by paypal will get their money back as the funds will have been on hold but remember ebay is an excellent advertisement for his web site and people buying from it may not be so lucky. There were probably people paying by cheque or PO who will never see a penny back from this guy.0

We originally paid vis his website, which had google checkout. However, within 24hrs, we received an email from Google saying they were refunding our money, but no explanation. This is when we realised something was up (along with all the other clues) and we never paid again despite the seller suggesting we pay via paypal. We had a lucky escape, although he still emailed us to say the buggy was due to arrive today!0 -

Never believe anything paypal tell you on the phone, you haven't been guaranteed your money back until the day it arrives cleared back onto your card. Paypal will tell you anything to get you off the phone.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
