[TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] Marketing Company - YOU WILL NOT BE A MANAGER ONE DAY!!!

my expereience of a couple of companies within the so called cobra organisation happened about a year ago now but just happened to stumble across this forum today and thought i would share my now all to familiar horror story!
To cut it short things started the same way as everyone else, post cv, call in an hour, interview then invited back for my 'ob day'! The first company i was with was cma direct in hanover street, liverpool were i had my ob day, quickly put on to a train off to st helens for a day pounding the streets flogging gas and lecy, back to the office about 9 that night were off course i was offered the job and told to start the next day, was pretty dubious but thought id give it a go as i had nothing else lined up and was pretty skint!
When i eventually recieved a badge, after about 2 weeks of working for nothing i did get out there and made some dectent money, 200 - 300 a week for my first couple of weeks, which i now realise was due to my trainer being with me and 'closing' a lot of the sales for me, hence when i was put out on my own the 300 a week was soon lucky to be 100!
After a couple of moths even the md had had enough and decided to give it up and merge with another cobra company across town who was code marketing on dale street. This was to be events marketing (standing in a supermarket flogging instead), so was quite excited about the prospect of getting away from knocking doors, again the first couple of weeks was like 200 a week but this slowly died away to eventually about 50 quid a week, baring in mind most the places i was being sent was costing about a tenner a day to get to so was at a loss already.
The final insult for me was after working 7 days a week, week in week out, 1 sunday morning not feeling to well i informed them i wouldnt be coming in and would be back in the morning, now they bang on about being 'self employed' so surely that was my call if i went in or not. Oh no, the next morning in the meeting i was informed by the not so pleasent md that as i stayed off one of the stands had been left at a store miles away, the one everyone who had worked there all week had been driving to as it was so far, and although i dont drive my 'punishment' for taking a day off sick would be to go and collect this stand which consisted off a 7 hour round trip on many trains and leaving me 30 quid out of pocket without earning that day as i was travelling. I lasted a couple of weeks after this as i was afraid to leave as what little money i was earning was going towards my rent, however going into work every morning worrying about were they would send me cos i couldnt afford to travel was truly getting me down and i couldnt bare to be around those 'juiced up' idiots any longer so had to walk.
I know have a full time job that doesnt pay that great but im home by 6.30 at the latest every night, i know how much im gonna be getting paid at the end of every 4 weeks, and ive actually got money to live the life i now have back.
Please do not be fooled by these companies as i was cos it messed me up for a good 6 months of my life.
I believe code have changed their name now, not sure what to but they are on the ground floor of trident house on dale street, liverpool.
Last word of warning, anything to do with cobra just stay well and truly clear. Ta for reading, take care!
they are called oratory commerce now! & it is still a scam! When i was ther alex pinker the owner used to make me collect the stand from manchester but never his favorites they got to go to close stores0 -

not sure if miguel cunha is there too.
I know the head admin is courtney sagar that works also in london bridge with bianca feireis and kacy wilson. You can always send them a cv and u know u'll get a reply 20min later with their address...
i wonder if these people will ever find a proper job instead of washing people's brains and taking advantage of graduates..
get a life...0 -
i have been recently working in one of these companies in London Bridge. I had a short relationship with one of the managers there, something not too hard to be honest.. I have left already as sales are not that high and the money we get is not enough to work so many hours every week and not being able of having a life. This guy told me it seems a BBC news night reporter who is antifundraising has contacted charities and professional fundraising bodies to report these companies. The research team is trying to find out more information.
They are being careful as under no circumstances anyone will be allow to talk to them. Does anyone know anything about this? Im happy to help to fight this SCAM companies. They write free press releases to come to the top of google so peole wont see all the forums with bad press, but also their comments considering themselves not a scam and accusing others to be.. I just laugh! lol
I know this Courtney mentioned before. Kacy is not there anymore. Courtney now runs the whole admin for all those companies, in London and birmingham, conventry... wherever they are.. She's with Tom Harris, the youngest manager there, just 22 (LOL). There has been some rumours as well about them, she was sick at work a few times and they both missed one day together for unknown reasons, and after that not looking very well and tired.. Not surprised about it as everyone seems to be happy to be with each other there.. another reason why i left..
Horrible companies to work with.. you have a "sit down" to "network" and it's always going to the pub to drink and drink... very professional indeed...

I work for Primus UK in London. The information written on this page from a previous candidate is most certainly incorrect. I can assume candidates read through job advertisements thoroughly before submitting their application. We mention on all our adverts that the pay is based on performance or commissions to begin with and we do not advertise on Jobserch.com.
We do not have an automated email system therefore an email stating Firstname or Surname would be impossible; in fact the whole paragraph written by Synergy82 on the email and first contact call has no similarities to what we may say or write, it sounds like he has us mixed up with another company completely. We do not have an HR Team as I personally will deal with any recruitment myself directly with a perfectly clear English accent not ‘aussi’. Our number comes up clearly on your phones, we never withhold our number – (why should we?) and if you do have a voicemail, I would definitely leave a message informing you on the purpose of my call and with all my contact details.
If you were to be booked in for an Interview for any of our vacancies here, I would give you a particular time and date our manager is able to see you and I would send a confirmation email but nothing like the one Synergy82 talks about.
Primus UK does not have a parent company, we are a Limited company.
As for the other companies mentioned on this page, I cannot be responsible for the disappointing experience other people has had with them, Primus UK do not deal nor work with these other companies. I haven’t even heard of them!
As for Aspire – they were once located at this office before Primus UK occupied the building.
Unik Corporation – are not even on this contact number.
I assume Synergy82 has got his wired crossed.
In conclusion, Primus UK as an organisation, we would like to apologise for any convenience caused and strongly advise ALL potential candidates to read through the adverts first before applying; also to contact us directly for actual facts and knowledge on our company and the role which you are applying to.
Regards,
Serena Saha. Administrator at Primus UK Ltd – London

I have worked for these companies too honey, i know perfectly what the admin do and what's going on with these companies. Do not try to protect your image cos people already now you are a scam like the others, otherwise to start, you wouldnt be here on this forum.
your website is exactly the same and even the images, i've seen them before lol

Richard is the owner and you are part of PerDM, same as ea worldwide with josh cote, tom harris, mudiwa, , star marketing with ben lambert, co&co with olivia courdert, Gforce with Gillian O'brien... all the same... so dont try to come here telling lies about who you are because you can't0

So JMS Marketing is a big scam, then?
Thank goodness I found this site! I have an interview scheduled for them tomorrow... after doing my research, I've decided that I'm not going.
I'm glad I going out of it before anything became official.
I rang them today, and when I asked the receptionist if it was commission based, she went on a ramble saying that they've secured a deal with TalkTalk, and that has opened up a lot more job opportunities... and didn't actually tell me if, in fact, it was commission based.
It's a good job that I'm not looking for a full-time, financially-supportive job as well, and I just need a part-time summer job.
Thanks for the information, guys... I will do my background research into jobs next time.0 -
Also, I'd like to warn you that, when I got my interview confirmation, the address was not Bixteth Street, but:
Il Palazzo
7 Water Street
Liverpool L2 0RD,
but is still under the name JMS Marketing LTD
When I searched JMS on Google Maps, Bixteth Street did come up, but I was assured by the receptionist that it was on Water Street.
The email I received from them was exactly the same as the emails posted by some people on this site, but that were from JPK or whatever the used to be called, except the names and times etc were different, for obvious reasons.
I guess I've got a free day tomorrow, then0 -
I had one of these for a company called Capital Assets based in Canary Wharf around 2005, it was during a holiday from uni so I took the time to go and actually work there for 2 days.
It starts off with the advert for a 100k position dealing in commodities. You would be amazed the types of people these guys get to turn up at the interviews, there were managers from Deutshe Bank etc there in this small pokey interview room.
Then the group interview where they proceed to spout nonsense for about 30 minutes and randomly ask people to sell objects lying around the room, it’s hilarious. The key thing they do is try to break you down to make you feel inadequate for this amazing role they have, the ‘fear of loss’ as sales guys call it. They ignore all questions about salaries but one guy kept pressing until they revealed there was no basic, at this point a couple of the guys there called it a joke and walked out.
You leave and they call you back suspiciously quickly saying they were very impressed, you have potential to make them big money and want to give you a tryout. They drop you a text on the way home as well congratulating you.
The job itself is doing a con-job on high net worth individuals, you cold call all day and spend the next day learning a sales script, shouting it across the room for no apparent reason. There’s no equipment in the office other than phones, no computers, no tracking of stocks etc. The best thing was the ‘contract’, the admin girl tippexed out someone else’s name before photocopying it for me to sign. They got really annoyed when I said I’d take it home to look at. No one came back the next day, one guy went to the toilet after an hour and didn’t come back.
I know someone who works there full time and apparently the managers there make roughly 25-30k and most of the staff take well under minimum wage each month.0
