I have emailed trading standards in doncaster and asked them to look at the situation to see if they can help me as I think ASDA are clutching at straws and are on dodgy ground. It ain't over til' it's over!.

I ordered the 29" TV on Sunday.It has been showing as released to the carriers since Monday and actually arrived this afternoon - I think I've been lucky and it must have been too late for Asda to cancel the order. I hope you all have success with your complaints and get your orders reinstated,especially the OP who is one of the unlucky ones.

Well done on receiving your TV. Is it out of the box yet, and up and running?

Mine is due tomorrow and with the carriers at the moment.

Yes klb I'm watching it now.Its actually a really good picture and has some nice features,I'm really pleased with it but I feel almost guilty admitting it when all these people have been disapointed!I hope yours turns up too,I live in an out of the way place and it would have been more trouble for Asda to claim it back than it was to let me have it.It really doesnt seem fair of them to treat people like this,if it was a pricing/code mistake then it was theirs - you would think a company of that size and with high profit levels could see that to maintain their customers goodwill and future business it would be worth taking the losses on this one item.

Most of the people on this thread ordered the 21" tv/dvd. Think the one you ordered was a safe bet.

Maybe safer yes as there are fewer orders so its easier to slip through the net,but as the discount code also worked with this model Asda could easily have classed it as an invalid order and cancelled.Needless to say I'm pleased they didnt! Good luck again to everyone who's still waiting.

I apologise in advance to all who had their orders cancelled by Asda-Electricals, but my 29" CRT has arrived this morning.

Many thanks again to wissychraddle for posting the original deal that enabled me to find this deal, and noddyboffin for finding the codes. The code I used was specific to the tv that I ordered, not the 21"code.
