The description and price of the goods You order will be as shown on the Website at the time You place Your order. Every effort is made to ensure that prices and description shown on the Website are accurate at the time You place Your order. If within 14 days of accepting your order a pricing and/or description error is found in respect of any or all of the goods You have ordered, we will notify You as soon as possible detailing the mis-priced/described goods and offering You the option of:

1. placing a new order at the correct price for those goods;
2. cancelling the whole of Your order; or
3. cancelling Your order for the mis-priced goods and reconfirming Your order for the correctly priced goods.

They can argue that the price offered for the TV was a pricing error even before the voucher was applied, they can argue that voucher was the pricing error or that acceptance of the voucher against the offer price was the error so they have covered their backs.

But there was not pricing error it was a special offer which is confirmed
There was no description error
They say the voucher was out of date but also confirm that there was not expiry on the voucher when questioned

They did not offer the following options they just cancelled

1. placing a new order at the correct price for those goods;
2. cancelling the whole of Your order; or
3. cancelling Your order for the mis-priced goods and reconfirming Your order for the correctly priced goods.

I complained about the late cancellation emails also and asked for compensation for the time spent waiting for the delivery . I got an email back regarding compensation .


Any claim for compensation would have to be put in a letter to the following address:

I am going to write to them and thought anyone else who waited in may like to do the same

I was one of the fortunate ones. Received this yesterday. Apparently there were only some that were mis-priced and some that had an expired code. It certainly looks like the same product and number to me.

I have received my TV today - I was a bit doubtful as to whether it would actually arrive after my order was reinstated but it arrive this morning. I think it will be worth keeping on to Asda until they give in - like they did with me!

I received the same 'blanket' response and below was my email in response....

"Thank you so much for your personal email. You really know how to keep your Customers Happy. You haven't even read my email have you, no! You have just seen what it is about and provided me with a blanket response as you have done with all other dissatisfied customers in relation to the matter. You won't even read this email will you? I wouldn't be suprised if I receive the same blanket response.Fact, you are in the wrong. You are morally wrong for sure and I firmly believe you have even breached your own terms and conditions as you explicitly accepted my order by email. The fact of whether you can squeeze out of this one claiming it was a misprice or the coupon was invalid when clearly neither were, remains to be seen.
I am now emailing Trading Standards at Doncaster.
Thank you so much for your help in this matter. I can see that the Customer Services Training you all receive is paying off."
