  • In their terms of sale it states 9 Acceptance of order

Your acceptance of these Product Terms by clicking on the 'Accept' button represents an offer to buy from Us and is not binding until accepted by Us either by sending You an e-mail which is received by You explicitly stating this, or by Our dispatching the Goods to You, which ever occurs first.

So it is binding if they have emailed you confirmation of order which states the price and the delivery, I await my call

Have also recieved the cancelled order email not happy i have the despatch email saying it would arrive tomorrow between 7am and 7pm. They have taken my money and are not delivering the goods can they do this? The voucher code had no date on it cannot believe a large company like asda can get away with this. Not having much look this week i have also been conned with the 1p book in another thread.

    Cancelation email here too.
  • Just spoke to a guy called Tony Greenall at Asda, who said that they had cancelled all orders and were in process of refunding those that they had taken payment on (me included).

Apparently Asda can cancel any order at any time right up to the point of despatch and that the system takes payment at point of order regardless if the order will be honoured or even if stock is available

Think it is really dirty of them to be able to take payment, send an email about a delivery date and then cancel the order, will be boycotting them in future
  • mine has been cancelled to despite recieving a confirmation email of purchase at the price with discount. Who should i contact to query this please?

I'd say this part of the confirmation email represents 'explicit acceptance':
City Link will not contact you prior to delivery. However rest assured

    your goods will be delivered
on the date chosen between the hours

    of 7am-7pm.

Not true. I placed 2 orders as one was for my children and one as a birthday present for a family member and payment wasn't taken for the second order, nor was a confirmation email rec'd. I checked my online balance and payment was deducted for the first order yet my balance didn't change after placing a subsequent order.

  • I have also just recieved the cancellation email. They have taken money from my account too, will just have to wait for a refund. Disappointed, yes as I've just told my son its arriving tomorrow.
