So if I buy a Ford Mondeo LX, am I only getting a demo version because it doesn't have all the features of the Ghia X?

    BWHAHAHAAAA.

    Never heard anything so stupid.

Do they start off with a Ghia X and remove features until they're left with a Mondeo LX, then try to sell you the parts to turn it into a Ghia X again?

Do try to keep up Conor, there's a good chap.

Apple can afford to sell OS-X at a lower price because of the mark up they make on hardware.

And you think Microsoft can't afford to sell Windows at a lower price?

I'm sure they could, and I wish they would.

I'm not sure how such whataboutery makes Microsoft's actions any better though.
  • ive noticed on my Rover 400 theres blanking plates on the dashboard, I know there there for switches and gizmos that come in a higher spec Rover but I dont get em in my model.

As for squeezing every penny they can out of you, npower do that, so does car manufacturers, TV manufacturers, even the guy who sells fruit and veg down the market on saturday. Its buisness. At the end of the day companies offer you products and services you pay your money and take your choice.

    Well I guess you're right.

If people like their blanking plates, who am I to tell them otherwise?

lol...all this for that little question!

Yes, you can use the same disk, as long as you have the serial number for your Vista Ultimate licence.

yep at least that is on the bottom of the lappy...
I did however have to ring M$ to activate it though...so its not the first time its been activated...but thats what you get when you buy an ex display laptop...it was cheap for the price...but more hassle than it's worth...
so all I need to do now is get all the acer drivers or it...thankyou...:D

I'm glad you got it sorted, and you got a silly pointless argument thrown in too.

What more could you want? ;)
