Sorry to sound stupid, how much exactly are you paying for the Family plus Sports and Movies package a month?

    Thanks for replying
If you mean the sky package then it is £42.50 a month.

I really want TV Drive but do not want to fork out for the £50 install fee. Already pay Telewest a fortune each month.
Can any canny person help me in getting it for free?
I don't mind the added charge each month but £50 for install is a bit steep - I don't have a second box so cannot use the offer of it being free if the second box is kept.
Should I state I want to cancel and go to Sky - if so can someone prompt me the best line to take?

    I did exactly that Banana!
Called up - said lots of good offers around - particularly Sky+ so want to cancel TV.
Got through to cancellations and talked to a very nice girl who gave the install for free and also cut my phone bill at the same time :)
Try and be reluctant - "not sure if there is anything you can do but Sky+ seems to offer so many advantages to new customers. Sadly Telwest I presume can't do this so it isn't worth staying."
Acting a bit green helps as well rather than saying "I have seen loads of other peeps getting a deal so do one for me!"
The install is not worth £50 believe me - took about 15 mins.
If they call your bluff, say i'll have one final think and perhaps try again another day.
    Ant.

Thanks I am going to call Telewest tomorrow and see what they offer. Partner really wants TVDrive so fingers crossed as do not want to pay the £50 install fee.

If anyone else has any suggestions as to what to say let me know.;)

as a sky customer my 3 months at half price as just come to an end (after threatening to cancel).

what are my chances of getting another deal if i ring up to cancel?

how many times is it possible to do this? do they keep a record?

i only really have sky for the football, are there any cheaper ways of getting sky sports?
