I just phoned and was advised that it is ten POUNDS ninety five for any additional books.

Im quite happy about paying that price for two of these books but I'm not happy at the sneaky way they've updated the site.

I will have a chuckle if the screengrab on the google cache search is prior to it being updated.

hmm, I don't know how they can say it is that price when the price was £8.99 discounted to 0.01. I don't mind them charging me £8.99 (although I hope they tell me before they take the payment) but I will query it if they try to take £10.95 as that is not the price on the invoice or the website.

Honestly, I have used this company loads of times over the last few years and I have never had a problem, tho I have worried about things getting to me intime for christmas, as they are shipped over from australia. I have had the beautiful christmas stockings personalised, personalised christmas bears, the christmas story book, toy story personalised book, personalised clocks, toys, foam road mat that has cut out buildings to stand up and make it 2D, my boys have had this for about 3 years and still play with it. All goods have been beautifully made, personalised and long lasting.

Thanks to the OP, I have only just seen this, and just ordered the 1p christmas book for my 5yr old (the last one was for my neice, bought about 3 years ago, and its lovely), and also got the teddy clock, and thanks also to the person who posted the free delivery code, both goods for £2.01:T
if you cant have what you want, be grateful for what you have :T

    Pickle number 3 arrived 24th december 2007 :A

    Xmas Saver!
I have ordered 7 of these at 1p, with free p+p and the photo frames fro £1. Total cost £1.07.
I have checked and this is a multinational company, based in australia. THey are not a small family run company, so have no moral issues with doing this.
I have paid by credit card, and if they try to take any more money, then I shall contact my card issuer and inform them that the additional payment was not authorised and they can chargeback the company.
My assisting email showing an invoice from them for £1.07 will provide sufficient information to do this.

They have acknowledged the mistake by changing the website to state in big red letters that it is now one per person, s must be aware of the confusion.

And if that doesn't work, they have a 30 day return guarantee if the quality of the products are not up to your expectations. I will return the expensive ones, and keep my penny book. Or make them an offer to keep them, because what are they going to do with 6 personalised books? put them in the sale area and hope they find someone else living at my address. Better for them to take anything for the books once they are printed.

For the first time I paid by debit card and agree with what you have said above - can I do the same with this with regards to a bank refund? Obviously the 30 day guarantee would still apply if not but wondered if it could be nipped in the bud before then as it wasn't stated on their website when I ordered & neither on my e-mail.

Surely they have to honour the contract for those orders placed before the limit was put on their website?
    Can't resist a bargain!!

My order was followed up by an email with all the details on. I ordered three 1p books and something else from the reduced section.

As they have confirmed the price they will be charging, surely they can't just UP the price, so maybe they will email me that they are cancelling the order.

I will be very annoyed if they just try to take the extra money without asking first.
:hello:  please play nicely children !
  • Ooops I did not see the 1 per customer either but have just had a look now. I still think its a fantastic bargain and I have used the company before so they are legit! I have ordered 4 and I spend £29.00 anyway :o so will see how much they take out!

Anyway here is a copy of the email:

  • Does anybody have any legal knowledge on this one? I mean, do we know categorically where we stand if they try to take more money than was on the confirmation email?

I emailed them last night to ask for confirmation of how much they are going to charge as i've had no confirmation email yet.
