  • Dear DChurch 24, this is one of my favourite threads, I am wondering if your behaviour towards the banks has affected your credit rating in any way? A late charge will click up the credit score-o-meter won't it?
I am about to ask Halifax to send me a breakdown of all the charges they have made against my card account since I have had it, do you think they will be able to do this?

As for their customer services, if they actually got a human being to call me I would willingly talk to them, at the moment a machine calls my mobile 10 times a day and asks me to press 1 and then the line goes dead, useless, they have to be the worst, £25 quid charge on an £18 underpayment, I now feel like I do not want them to have a single penny of mine.

It has effected my credit rating - in a good way.

Every time a bank wants to settle, I have insisted that they repair my credit report too. Also, with the money I have gotten back from banks (and my partner) we have subsiquently paid off debts (that for the most part, were caused through 'illegal' charging - we have it down now to an easily managable 3k) and that has improved our credit rating (we just remortgaged, so our credit can't be too bad!).

So, in essence - you have everything to gain.

If you need more specific help, or pro-forma letters, spreadsheets for interest, or just want to see how everyone else is getting on with getting their cash back etc..., come over to the https://www.bankactiongroup.com forum.

Sorry, I've just 'upgraded' to another host - it seems that the site is down at the moment - I'm trying to get hold of someone at the hosting company - but as it's Sunday (????) the 24 hour line is just ringing and ringing.
