I would be inclined to make a figure up (this is pur speculation - I have no idea how the court will react to this - maybe a call to MoneyClaim on-line coule clarify the situation) -= the Bank would soon find the 'real' figure if you over-estimated it.0

So far lloydstsb are going out of there way to be helpfull and friendly with me .I made a naive c**k up in my requests as I asked for my current account statements all officially as per template then wrote again asking for my C/C statements to be included as well under the same request ( letter not a bit professional ) .. just got a reply from same person saying they are happy to include my C/C statements in conjuction with my original request .
Lesson learnt ......do not try and be professional with 3 kids playing up around me.Wish I could stop editing EVERY post I make :mad:0 -

ali82 wrote:If your bank refuses or ignores your dpa request and you then make a complaint to the I.C what happens next? How can you proceed with your claim without a figure? When you send the refund letter to the bank you need to state an amount or do you just bypass that bit and go straight to money claim?
Since the Yorkshire Bank refuse to respond to my DPA request, we reported them to the Information Commissioner. The IC has acknowledged receipt of the complaint and say they will give the Yorkshire until the end of the 40 day time limit in which to respond to us. If we haven't heard from Yorkshire after 40 days, we need to let IC know and they will take it further.
We have already asked the Bank for a refund of the unknown bank charges amount, but they haven't even responded to that  We know they received the letter as we sent it Recorded Delivery.
We have since submitted a claim via the Small Claims Court. We entered a maximum claim figure of around £4,800 so it's just under the £5k mark. We mentioned on the claim form that Yorkshire are being obstructive and that's why we are claiming for a maximum amount of £4,800. We know the actual bank charges are nowhere near that amount but unless Yorkshire provide us with a figure, then we are prepared to fight!! :j:heart2: Tabs :heart2:

That's fantastic. Do we have your claim details at the BAG site?
This is a question that pops up a lot over there - i.e. What to claim for when/if the bank ignore the DPA request?0 -

No, I haven't put my claim details on BAG site. I'll wonder over there now ... Can I ask why I would need to supply the case number? I'm just a bit paranoid about giving away any identifiable info :embarasse :heart2: Tabs :heart2:
